Description

The invention relates to a fitting for sitting or lying furniture for swinging up the seat or lying cushion, with a four-bar fitting, at the coupling of the seat or couch pad fastened and the web is connectable to a furniture frame, wherein between web and coupling a tension spring attacks, which acts in the sense of a pivoting movement of the seat or reclining cushion upwards.

Four-bar fittings, such as e.g. in DE 20201258 U are described, are provided to allow the user in a simple way access to a bed under the seat or couch cushion room. The tension spring is designed so that it can not pivot the seat or couch pad by its own power, but that it supports a carried out by the user pivoting movement. If the seat or couch pad, which may of course be multi-part, lifted away, the spring can lift the remaining support frame for the pad alone.

This lifting takes place at the moment of removal of the pad abrupt and sudden and therefore can lead to injury to the user.

The invention has set itself the goal to make the risk of injury to the user virtually impossible. This is achieved with a fitting of the type mentioned in that a user to be unlocked locking device is provided which allows only a limited pivoting up of the seat or lying cushion, so that cushion frame is held after a short distance through the locking device and only after unlocking can swing up.

When using a fitting according to the invention, it is made impossible for the user to be surprised or injured by a pop-up cushion frame. The cushion frame is held rather by a short distance through the locking device and the user would have to unlock it first so that the cushion frame can swing completely.

In one embodiment of the invention, a pivotally mounted spring-loaded hook is arranged in the region of the end facing away from the four-bar fitting end of the seat or couch cushion or furniture frame, with a with a bevel provided hook holder cooperates. When lifting the seat or lying cushion or the cushion frame therefore initially prevents the spring-loaded hook lifting. Due to the inclination of the hook holder, the hook automatically engages when lowering the seat or lying cushion.

The arrangement of a separate spring can be saved when the hook is arranged on an existing spring steel arm.

In another embodiment of the invention, a hook provided on a pivotally mounted spring-loaded arm is arranged on a rocker arm of the four-link fitting, which hook cooperates with a bolt arranged on the web.

In both exemplary embodiments described above, the hook may be unlockable via a pulling device.

It is possible that the hook in the blocking position engages under the bolt so that the unlocking is possible only after one of the Entsperrichtung opposite movement. As a result, a further safeguard against a popping of the cushion frame is created.

1, a furniture frame 1 is connected to a cushion frame 2 via a four-bar fitting 3. The four-bar fitting 3 has in known manner a web 4, a coupling 5 and two wings 6 and 7. A tension spring 8 acts in the sense of a pivoting movement of the cushion frame 2 upwards. For clarity of the drawing, the tension spring 8 is illustrated only by its center line. Such a four-bar fitting is known per se and is therefore not the subject of the invention.

In the area facing away from the four-bar fitting 3 end of the cushion frame 2, a locking device 9 is arranged on the cushion frame 2 and the furniture frame 1. This locking device 9 is shown in more detail in Figs. 2 and 3

Claims (6)

1. A fitting for seating- and/or reclining furniture for tilting the seat- or reclining cushion (2) with a four bar linkage (3) to whose coupler (5) the seat- or reclining cushion (2) may be attached and whose web (4) may be connected to a furniture frame (1), a tension spring (8) acting between the web (4) and the coupler (5) and which acts upwardly in the direction of a tilting movement of the seat- or reclining cushion (2), characterised in that a locking device (9; 22, 25) to be unlocked by the user is provided which allows only limited tilting of the seat- or reclining cushion (2), so that after a short distance, the cushion frame (2) is held by the locking device (9; 22, 25) and can only be fully tilted after unlocking.

The fitting for seating- and/or reclining furniture according to claim 1, characterised in that in the region of the end of the seat- or reclining cushion (2) and/or furniture frame (1) facing away from the four bar linkage (3), a pivotably mounted spring-loaded hook (11, 17) is arranged which cooperates with a hook holder (14, 19) provided with a chamfer (15).
3. The fitting for seating- and/or reclining furniture according to claim 2, characterised in that the hook (17) is arranged on an arm (18) consisting of spring steel.
4. The fitting for seating- and/or reclining furniture according to claim 1, characterised in that a hook (22) provided on a pivotably mounted spring-loaded arm (24) is arranged on a rocker (6) of the four bar linkage (3) and which cooperates with a pin (25) arranged on the web.
5. The fitting for seating- and/or reclining furniture according to any one of the preceding claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the hook (11, 17, 22) may be unlocked via a traction device.
6. The fitting for seating- and/or reclining furniture according to claim 5, characterised in that, in the locked position, the hook (22) engages under the pin (25) so that unlocking is only possible after a movement opposing the unlocking direction.
