La présente invention concerne un appareil et un procédé de distribution (30) et de vérification de ticket de jeu (32) comportant un distributeur (50) de ticket instantané pour distribuer un ticket de jeu à un joueur à la demande du joueur. Un dispositif de vérification (70) est apte à déterminer si le ticket de jeu instantané (32) ou le ticket de loterie est un ticket gagnant à partir d'une information sur le ticket de jeu instantané (32) ou le ticket de loterie lue par le dispositif de vérification de ticket (70). Le dispositif de vérification de ticket (70) peut également comporter un dispositif distinct de vérification de ticket de jeu instantané (72) et un dispositif distinct de vérification de ticket de loterie (74).
