Definitions
- the invention relates to a method and a system for operating a shelf, preferably in an order-picking system, with a shelf and an associated shelf operating device for removing and storing containers, trays or the like from or into the shelf.
- containers are removed from a container store and fed to a central distribution system via a rack operating device which is movable and height-adjustable along the container store and which is connected to the container store.
- the storage and retrieval machine serves two opposite storage racks over the entire rack height (cf. DE 197 12 839 AI).
- a disadvantage is the limited picking performance and inflexibility of the shelf operating system.
- the invention is essentially based on the object of making the known method and system more efficient and, accordingly, of providing an efficient method and an efficient operating system for operating a shelf, preferably in a picking system, with simple effort.
- the essence of the method according to the invention is that a shelf area of the shelf, which has a plurality of shelf levels arranged one above the other, is operated via its own mechanically coupled height and length-adjustable shelf operating device, and that in each shelf area designed as an independent and closed shelf unit in a level buffer zone as an interface to the outside container, Trays or the like are temporarily stored, which are taken over by the storage and retrieval unit for storage or are released for removal and are conveyed from or to an off-shelf conveyor system or processing station via at least one lift and / or a conveyor connection.
- the containers are preferably conveyed via the horizontal conveyor connection, which is at the same level in the area of the rack unit, to or from an individual processing station, in particular to or from an individual picking station of a picker, preferably in a closed orbit, a so-called “loop”.
- the shelf is thus divided into at least two shelf areas arranged one above the other, each comprising a plurality of adjacent shelf levels arranged one above the other, each shelf area having its own mechanically coupled height and length adjustable shelf operating device as an independent and closed shelf unit.
- Each storage and retrieval machine preferably covers a work area of approx. 4m shelf height.
- Each shelf area includes, in particular, a shelf-fixed level transfer station with the buffer zone as an interface to the outside and furthermore at least one shelf-fixed, preferably connected to the buffer zones Lift and / or a preferably shelf-fixed horizontal conveyor connection connected to each buffer zone in the shelf area for feeding or removing containers, trays or the like from or to a shelf-external conveyor system or processing station, preferably without crossing and to an individual picking station of a picker ("Goods-to-man system").
- a picker usually containers, usually containers or boxes, can be picked up and handed over by the vehicle or the storage and retrieval unit.
- the buffer zone stores the products until they can be taken over by the lift system.
- the individual independent and closed levels or shelf units and the external conveyor technology are linked by a lift or a conveyor connection. This enables a very flexible interface to be created with the external conveyor technology and, in particular, a high order picking performance.
- the levels or shelf units can be attached as often as desired. Shelf heights of 20m and more are easy to reach. The height of the general system is limited only by the stability of the shelving system and the lift mast.
- the throughput of the system is higher than in the conventional system with only one vehicle or rack operator for the total height of the rack.
- the throughput is essentially determined by the lift system or the conveyor system used for the connection. stem, which links the individual storage and retrieval machines with the external conveyor technology.
- Each level or shelf unit of the shelf can be accessed by a ladder.
- Each shelf unit is delimited on its own. This means that service and repair work can be carried out separately for each rack unit without having to shut down the entire system. This is a major advantage over the conventional shelf operating system. This subsequently increases the reliability of the overall system.
- the individual vehicles or height-adjustable and longitudinally movable shelf operating devices on a shelf front are constructed so that the mast is attached centrally to the lifting gear. This minimizes the effects of force from acceleration and braking of the vehicle or the lifting table and optimally implements a lightweight construction of the vehicle.
- Another advantage is that the vehicles or storage and retrieval machines are compatible, and a storage and retrieval machine can easily be replaced by a new or different, existing storage and retrieval machine.
- Each level or shelf unit has an independent, delimited functional area. This means that separate interfaces of the conveyor technology can be operated as a separate overall system. This property can also be used as a "goods-to-man system" in separate levels. This means that several independent shelf operating systems work in a single mechanical shelf system. This enables optimal use over several floors of a building.
- Each level or shelf unit can be operated as a "stand-alone solution" with regard to the electronic control device. But it is also possible to combine several systems into one control.
- the entire shelving system can be used optimally for different types of containers. That means that e.g. B. boxes can be dynamically stored and managed in one level area, but normal containers can be stored and managed in another level system. Subsequently, the levels or shelf units can also differ in the number of storage depths. This means that one level or shelf unit is used for double deep storage, the other level or shelf unit is used for single or four times deep storage.
- the big advantage is the optimal use of the shelving system and the simplicity of the load handler used. This can be optimally tailored to the requirements. At every level or shelf unit can also z. Description
Verfahren und System zum Bedienen eines Regals vorzugsweise in einer KommissionieranlageMethod and system for operating a shelf, preferably in a picking system
The invention relates to a method and a system for operating a shelf, preferably in an order-picking system, with a shelf and an associated shelf operating device for removing and storing containers, trays or the like from or into the shelf.
As far as "containers" are mentioned in the following, this should not be understood as restrictive; rather, the present invention also encompasses systems in which other transport units such as trays or pallets are used to store and transport the goods to be picked.
According to a known state of the art, containers are removed from a container store and fed to a central distribution system via a rack operating device which is movable and height-adjustable along the container store and which is connected to the container store. In particular, the storage and retrieval machine serves two opposite storage racks over the entire rack height (cf. DE 197 12 839 AI). A disadvantage is the limited picking performance and inflexibility of the shelf operating system.
The invention is essentially based on the object of making the known method and system more efficient and, accordingly, of providing an efficient method and an efficient operating system for operating a shelf, preferably in a picking system, with simple effort. The essence of the method according to the invention is that a shelf area of the shelf, which has a plurality of shelf levels arranged one above the other, is operated via its own mechanically coupled height and length-adjustable shelf operating device, and that in each shelf area designed as an independent and closed shelf unit in a level buffer zone as an interface to the outside container, Trays or the like are temporarily stored, which are taken over by the storage and retrieval unit for storage or are released for removal and are conveyed from or to an off-shelf conveyor system or processing station via at least one lift and / or a conveyor connection.
The containers are preferably conveyed via the horizontal conveyor connection, which is at the same level in the area of the rack unit, to or from an individual processing station, in particular to or from an individual picking station of a picker, preferably in a closed orbit, a so-called “loop”.
In a shelf operating system according to the invention, the shelf is thus divided into at least two shelf areas arranged one above the other, each comprising a plurality of adjacent shelf levels arranged one above the other, each shelf area having its own mechanically coupled height and length adjustable shelf operating device as an independent and closed shelf unit. Each storage and retrieval machine preferably covers a work area of approx. 4m shelf height. Each shelf area includes, in particular, a shelf-fixed level transfer station with the buffer zone as an interface to the outside and furthermore at least one shelf-fixed, preferably connected to the buffer zones Lift and / or a preferably shelf-fixed horizontal conveyor connection connected to each buffer zone in the shelf area for feeding or removing containers, trays or the like from or to a shelf-external conveyor system or processing station, preferably without crossing and to an individual picking station of a picker ("Goods-to-man system"). In the buffer zone, several containers, usually containers or boxes, can be picked up and handed over by the vehicle or the storage and retrieval unit. The buffer zone stores the products until they can be taken over by the lift system. The individual independent and closed levels or shelf units and the external conveyor technology are linked by a lift or a conveyor connection. This enables a very flexible interface to be created with the external conveyor technology and, in particular, a high order picking performance.
Vorteile des erfindungsgemäßen Systems gegenüber dem vor- handenen System:Advantages of the system according to the invention over the existing system:
The levels or shelf units can be attached as often as desired. Shelf heights of 20m and more are easy to reach. The height of the general system is limited only by the stability of the shelving system and the lift mast.
stem, welches die einzelnen Regalbediengeräte mit der regalexternen Fördertechnik verknüpft.- The throughput of the system is higher than in the conventional system with only one vehicle or rack operator for the total height of the rack. In addition to the number of storage and retrieval machines, the throughput is essentially determined by the lift system or the conveyor system used for the connection. stem, which links the individual storage and retrieval machines with the external conveyor technology.
- Jede Ebene bzw. Damit wird in weiterer Folge die Ausfallsicherheit des Gesamtsystems erhöht.- Each level or shelf unit of the shelf can be accessed by a ladder. Each shelf unit is delimited on its own. This means that service and repair work can be carried out separately for each rack unit without having to shut down the entire system. This is a major advantage over the conventional shelf operating system. This subsequently increases the reliability of the overall system.
The individual vehicles or height-adjustable and longitudinally movable shelf operating devices on a shelf front are constructed so that the mast is attached centrally to the lifting gear. This minimizes the effects of force from acceleration and braking of the vehicle or the lifting table and optimally implements a lightweight construction of the vehicle.
By using a lift system as a link between the individual levels or shelf units and the external storage conveyor technology, multiple transfer points and buffer zones of the storage and retrieval vehicles can be operated easily and effectively. If a separate elevator is used for the storage and removal of products, high throughputs are possible even with a small storage area.
Senkbewegung erreicht.- Another advantage is that the vehicles or storage and retrieval machines are compatible, and a storage and retrieval machine can easily be replaced by a new or different, existing storage and retrieval machine. - There is the possibility of supplying two levels or two rack units of the rack by means of a feeding and a discharging conveyor system. The difference in height is achieved by a lifting or lowering movement.
Each level or shelf unit has an independent, delimited functional area. This means that separate interfaces of the conveyor technology can be operated as a separate overall system. This property can also be used as a "goods-to-man system" in separate levels. This means that several independent shelf operating systems work in a single mechanical shelf system. This enables optimal use over several floors of a building.
Each level or shelf unit can be operated as a "stand-alone solution" with regard to the electronic control device. But it is also possible to combine several systems into one control.
In jeder Ebene
bzw. The entire shelving system can be used optimally for different types of containers. The big advantage is the optimal use of the shelving system and the simplicity of the load handler used. This can be optimally tailored to the requirements. At every level or shelf unit can also z. B. Special storage facilities such as flow racks are arranged and operated by specially designed load handling devices.
The storage and retrieval system is integrated in the shelf. The shelf accommodates the guidance system for the vehicle system and is therefore considered an integrated system.
Regaleinheiten alle Komponenten einfach erreichbar sind.- Due to the low overall height of the vehicle system, the overall system is very easy to service because all components are easily accessible in the individual levels or shelf units.
If several level systems serve one level system or several level systems are combined to form a single level system, the throughput is guaranteed by appropriate buffer systems and connection systems.

According to the drawing, the container storage area of an order-picking system 1 comprises a composite rack 2 consisting of three double racks arranged in parallel with longitudinally movable rack operating devices 4 according to FIGS. 5 and 6 arranged in the rack aisles 14.
As can best be seen from FIGS. 3, 4 and 9, 10, each rack aisle 14 is assigned its own rack operating device 4. The entire shelf height is subdivided into three shelf areas arranged one above the other, each comprising eight shelf levels 13 one above the other, each shelf area having its own mechanically coupled height and length-adjustable shelf operating device 4 as an independent and self-contained shelf unit A, B or C.
The storage and retrieval unit 4 has a lifting gear 10 and a lifting table 11 of low overall height at substantially the same height, lifting gear 10 and lifting table 11 being arranged on opposite sides of a longitudinally driven driven lift mast 12. The lift mast 12 extends over the height of each shelf unit A, B or C and is guided at least at its lower longitudinal end in a longitudinal guide rail which is an integral part of the shelf 2. Each shelf area or shelf unit A, B, C has a shelf-fixed, level transfer station with a buffer zone P1, P2 or P3 for container 3, in which containers are taken over by the storage and retrieval device 4 for storage or delivery for removal, furthermore 1 to 4 shelf-fixed lifts 6a, 6b connected to the buffer stations in the first embodiment, or shelf-fixed lifts 5 in the second embodiment variant according to FIGS. 7 to 10 and two shelf-fixed horizontal conveyor connections Fl connected to the buffer stations P1, P2 in the shelf area , F2 are provided for supplying or removing containers 3 from or to a conveyor system or processing station (not illustrated) outside the rack.
The conveyor connection Fl or F2, which is at the same level in the area of the shelf unit A, B, C, is led without intersection directly to and from an individual processing station, in particular directly to and from an individual order picking station of a commissioner, as a closed conveyor orbit on which shelf 2 Ordered containers to the processing station and vice versa empty or partially emptied containers 3 are conveyed from the processing station to shelf 2.
Für jede Regaleinheit A, B bzw. A separate electronic control device for storing and retrieving containers 3 is provided for each rack unit A, B or C.
Alternatively, a common electronic unit can also be used for at least several preferably adjacent shelf units Control device may be provided.
The buffer zone P1, P2 or P3 has in both embodiment variants according to FIGS. 1 to 4 and according to FIGS. 7 to 10 stationary parking spaces 9 on shelf 2 at the level of each shelf unit A, B, C for intermediate storage of containers 3.
Furthermore, the buffer zone P1, P2 and P3 in both design variants comprises open linear horizontal conveyor tracks 8, likewise at the level of each rack unit A, B, C, on which containers 3 can also be conveyed and temporarily stored.
Finally, the buffer zone P1, P2 or P3 according to the second embodiment variant according to FIGS. 7 to 10 also comprises a horizontal, preferably closed, horizontal conveyor track 7 or conveyor loop with a connection to a lift 5 on which container 3 is conveyed and conveyed in one direction temporarily stored and handed over to lift 8 or can be taken over by lift 8. The containers 3 are fed and removed here via the common lift 5, in contrast to the first embodiment variant according to FIGS. 1 to 4, in which the containers 3 are fed and removed via separate lifts 6a, 6b.
Jede Regaleinheit A, B bzw. C ist durch eine Leiter begehbar. Each shelf unit A, B or C is accessible by a ladder.
einheiten A, B, C Sonderlagereinrichtungen, insbesondere Durchlaufregale, angeordnet sein. The assembled shelf 2 can have shelf units A, B, C which are at least partially designed differently with regard to shelf depth, shelf height and / or container type receptacles. In particular, the shelf units A, B, C special storage facilities, in particular flow racks, can be arranged.
In the case of the assembled shelf 2 consisting of three double shelves arranged one behind the other as shown in the drawing, double-sided shelf operating devices 4 are used, each serving two shelf halves in the associated shelf aisle 14. It is understood that within the scope of the present invention, shelves 2 can also be provided in the form of parallel individual shelves spaced apart from one another and possibly in combination with double shelves, the individual shelves then being able to be operated by one-sided shelf operating devices which can be moved on the shelf front. In all design variants, however, the shelves 2 are divided into independent shelf units A, B, C in the height direction.
The first embodiment variant according to FIGS. 1 to 4 is operated with the aid of storage and retrieval devices 4 according to FIGS. 5 and 6 as follows.
Picking goods in container 3 are picked manually at two individual picking stations (not shown) that are connected to the conveying connections F1 and F2 without intersections.
Dann verfährt das Regalbediengerat 4 in beschleunigter und verzögerter Bewegung horizontal und gleichzeitig vertikal in der Regalgasse 14 an die leereFor storage in shelf 2, empty or partially emptied (or full for filling up the shelf) containers 3 arrive on the circulating conveyor connection F1 or F2 in the area of the linear conveyor track 8 connected vertically to the lift 6a, where the containers are opened the linear conveyor track 8 implemented by cross slide not shown and temporarily stored. The lift 6a takes over a container there and transports it to the level of a selected shelf unit A, B or C, in which there is a free storage point after computer control with path optimization. When the level of the selected rack unit is reached, the lift 6a transfers the container 3 to the linear conveyor path 8 there, which leads to the stationary parking space 9 of the same level. In the parking space 9, the container 3 is then ready for collection by the storage and retrieval unit 4 of the corresponding shelf unit A, B or C at the front of the shelf 2. The controlled storage and retrieval unit 4 moves to this parking space 9 and takes over the container 3 from there to the aligned lifting table 11. Then the storage and retrieval unit 4 moves horizontally and at the same time vertically in the aisle 14 to the empty one in accelerated and decelerated movement
Einlagerungsstelle der Regaleinheit A, B oder C und besetzt die leere Einlagerungsstelle mit dem Behälter 3.Storage location of shelf unit A, B or C and occupies the empty storage location with container 3.
The removal of a container 3 called by a picker from the shelf takes place essentially in the opposite direction. However, the selected container 3 is brought to the conveyor connection F1 or F2 on a separate conveyor line after leaving the storage and retrieval unit 4. The separate conveyor line is the stationary parking space 9 and the linear conveyor track 8, which are assigned to the lift 6b. A picked container 3 transferred from this linear conveyor track 8 to the conveyor connection F1 or F2 reaches the picker without crossing.
The storage and retrieval of containers 3 thus take place according to the first embodiment up to the storage and retrieval unit 4 in separate ways. The second embodiment variant according to FIGS. 7 to 10 is operated with the aid of storage and retrieval devices 4 according to FIGS. 5 and 6 similar to the first embodiment variant. However, a common lift 5 is used for both the storage and the removal of containers 3, which has a correspondingly large platform and can accommodate containers to be stored and removed at the same time. The lift 5 is integrated in each buffer zone P1, P2 or P3 in a closed, circumferential horizontal conveyor track 7, on which containers 3 can be seen in and out on separate paths between the conveyor connection F1 or F2 and the lift 5.
