Zum Ausdrücken des ausgegarten Kokses aus der Koksofenkammer 1 wird der Gasweg durch Fluten der Tauchtasse 4 unterbrochen, so dass keine Luft in die Rohgasvorlage 2 gelangen kann. Einer vergleichenden Betrachtung der Figuren entnimmt man, dass das Regeln, Verschließen und Öffnen des Gasweges durch eine gleichgerichtete Bewegung des Schiebers 15 erfolgt .
