The invention relates to a device for grinding at least one itself moving knife, preferably for cutting tobacco, with a along a first way leading cutting edge, with at least one itself moving grinding wheel, the loop engagement point with the Knife section having cutting edge extends along a second path emotional. The invention further relates to a method for grinding at least one moving knife, preferably for cutting tobacco, with a cutting edge leading along a first path, at which a Loop engagement point of a moving grinding wheel with a die Knife section having cutting edge moved along a second path.
It is known using such a device and such a method Regrinding knife of a tobacco cutter, this process during of the tobacco processing process takes place. There are usually several Knives over the circumference of a rotating, drum-shaped knife holder arranged and the grinding body is designed as a rotating body.
Die konkave Schleiffläche der Schleifscheibe ist an der Stirnfläche der Schleifscheibe angeordnet, wobei sich die Stirnfläche der Schleifscheibe unter Bildung eines flachen, kegelstumpfähnlichen Ansatzes über den zylindrischen Teil der Schleifscheibe hinausragend erstreckt.DE 20 16 649 C3 discloses a device of the type mentioned at the beginning which the grinding body is designed as a grinding wheel, the grinding surface is concave and essentially in its circular arc in the axial section the orbit of those extending in the axial direction of the knife carrier Cutting edges of the knives corresponds. The grinding wheel is parallel to one another The axis of rotation of the knife carrier is mounted in a slidingly movable holder, which is driven by a drive assigned to reciprocating. The concave grinding surface of the grinding wheel is arranged on the end face of the grinding wheel, the Face of the grinding wheel to form a flat, truncated cone-like Approach extends beyond the cylindrical part of the grinding wheel.
Aus der DE 35 01 494 A1 ist eine Vorrichtung zum Schleifen eines Schneidprofils zum Schneiden von Tabak bekannt, bei welcher anders als bei der zuvor erwähnten bekannten Vorrichtung der Schleifkörper nicht reziprok beweglich, sondern stationär angeordnet und als Schleifwalze mit einem wellenförmigen Profil ausgebildet ist, deren Länge der Breite der Messer entspricht.DE 35 01 494 A1 describes a device for grinding a cutting profile known for cutting tobacco, which is different from the one mentioned above known device of the grinding wheel not reciprocally movable, but stationary arranged and designed as a grinding roller with a wavy profile, whose length corresponds to the width of the knife.
Since in the known arrangements the reground surfaces of Knife sections lie in the trajectory of the leading cutting edges however, in practice it was found that between knife and tobacco cake relatively high friction arises, which removes the cut tobacco quickly hinders and thus disrupts the cutting process.
It is therefore an object of the present invention, in one device and one Process of the type mentioned the friction between the knife and the material to be cut to reduce.
This object is achieved according to a first aspect of the present invention solved in that in a device of the type mentioned Abrasive body is arranged and movable so that when engaging with the loop Knife section the first way the second way in about one intersects the desired clearance angle.
Furthermore, the object according to a second aspect of the present invention solved in that in a method of the type mentioned in Loop engagement of the grinding wheel with the knife section the first way second path at an angle corresponding approximately to a desired clearance angle cuts.
With the help of the invention is accordingly the one having the cutting edge Provide knife section with a so-called clearance angle, which is sufficient Space is created to reduce the friction between knife and material to be cut desired way to decrease. This is achieved according to the invention by that the first path or the first trajectory of the loop engagement point of the Grinding body the second path or the second trajectory of the cutting edge of the Knife cuts, whereby the regrinding of a clearance angle on the knife is made possible. The length of the grinding wheel can correspond to the width of the knife can be selected so that a reciprocal movement of the Abrasive body along the cutting edge can be dispensed with.
The grinding wheel is usually designed as a rotating disk or roller.
The knife expediently moves with its cutting edge in opposite direction to the grinding wheel.
A currently particularly preferred embodiment is characterized in that that the first way partially overlaps the second way or slightly penetrates.
The knife is usually mounted so that it is off the cutting edge described first path curved, preferably circular, runs. It can the knife can be arranged on a rotating knife carrier, so that the first Way describes a first circle. The knife holder can be designed as a drum be along its circumference several in the direction of movement of each other spaced knives are arranged.
Furthermore, the abrasive body is preferably mounted so that the second path the loop engagement point describes, curved, preferably circular, runs.
In a further development of this embodiment, the second way describes a second Circle, the center of which is outside the grinding wheel. A can rotating grinding wheel carrier can be provided, on which, in the direction of rotation considered, a plurality of spaced grinding wheels are arranged.
Another currently particularly preferred embodiment is characterized by this from the fact that the second way has a greater curvature than the first way, in the case of circular trajectories the radius of the first circle is greater than is that of the second circle.

In Figure 1, a tobacco cutter is shown in which the tobacco one Tobacco cake is pressed and then cut before it is then in subsequent tobacco processing apparatuses not shown in the figures is processed further.
In Förderrichtung
For this purpose, the tobacco leaf material supplied from a supply source, not shown
2 in a
Schleifeingriff gelangt. As is also indicated in FIG. 1, the
In Figure 2, the
In diesem
Schleifeingriff gelangt.Due to the rotation of the
zweiten Bahn 46.As can also be seen in FIG. 2, the
Dadurch, dass also
The position of the two
Claims (22)
