Description

The invention relates to a cover consisting of one another by means of joints pivotable segments, in particular a sectional door, according to the generic term of claim 1.

Such gates are, for example, from the German utility model DE 88 00 956 U1 known. It is already described there that the individual segments Have end faces that in the closed position of the cover each other are opposite, one of the end faces being convexly curved and the hinge axis arranged on the inside and at a distance from this end surface and that the other of the end faces has at least one outer edge region reaches the convex end face in this way, wherein it itself is concave is that when pivoting the segments on the outside of the cover gap between the two end faces does not have a maximum gap width exceeds. This ensures that there are no fingers in the gap area can be pinched because the gap is usually chosen so small that a effective protection against trapping is guaranteed. The convex end surface of one Segmentes is approximately cylindrically curved, the cylinder axis with that at the Inside of this segment arranged hinge axis coincides. To the Preventing interference from the side is close to the joint axis each to the joint belonging hinge with a specially designed segment of a circle Cover wing provided that the pivoted segments to each other on the Gusset space in the axial direction of the joint axis outside closes. These cover segments shaped like a segment of a circle stand on the Inner surface of the cover facing outwards, being nose-shaped with its corner edge protrude outward so that in the closed position of the cover protruding Barbs are formed that pose a risk of injury that should not be underestimated recover.

The object of the invention is to provide a cover with an articulated connection to develop the preamble of claim 1 such that an injury risk prevented by such protruding corresponding corners forming parts become.

According to the invention, the object is achieved by a cover with the features according to Claim 1 solved. Accordingly, one of the adjacent segments has one recess running parallel to the end surface, in which the hinge axis at least is partially arranged. This resetting of the joint axis below the plane of the segment forming the inner wall may have protruding parts of the joints can be prevented.

Preferred embodiments of the invention result from the Subordinate claims following main claim. Accordingly, the recess advantageously designed to accommodate the hinge axis in the form of a groove his.

The articulated arms of the joints connecting the segments can be made of L-profiles consist. These have particularly good stability. On the L profiles for Tab-like extensions can be formed onto the joint axis.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, one surface is the L-profile connected to the respective segment lying flat against it, whereas the other surface of the L-profile protrudes perpendicularly from the segment. Here is though also a part protruding perpendicularly from the segment is formed, but this is elongated and preferably rounded at the edges, so that it gets stuck here or a risk of injury is excluded. Here are the end edges the protruding surface of the L-profile so rounded that between the concave end face of the opposite segment and the end edge during only a small gap remains after pivoting. So this is also through this Design variant a lateral intervention protection - but with others and not more injury-prone elements compared to the state of the art - educated.

A particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention results from that a surface of the L-profile rests flat on the respective segment and with this is connected while the other surface of the L-profile is perpendicular and parallel runs to the side edges of the segments. This is the L-profile, so to speak placed on the outer corner area of the segment and connected to it. In this version, there are no protruding parts over the inner surface of the segments protrude, present.

In Fig. 1 there are two segments 12 and 14 of a cover, for example a garage door 10, partially shown. These segments are interconnected via joints 16 pivotally connected, a joint 16 being shown here in FIG. 1. Depending on the width, several of these joints are 16 in across the width of the garage door arranged here not shown in detail. A lower end surface 18 the segment 12 is opposite an upper end surface 20 of the segment 14. The End surfaces 18 and 20 are approximately cylindrically curved and extend in the closed position concentric to a hinge axis 22, with end faces 18 and 20 a gap s of only one to at most a few millimeters during the Swiveling of the segments 12 and 14 to each other remains. The end surface 18 is concave as shown in FIG. 1 and the end surface 20 is corresponding to FIG. 1 convexly curved.

The joint 16 consists of two articulated arms 24 and 26. The articulated arms 24 and 26 are formed as an L-profile over the largest area of their length. An area, namely the surface 28 of the articulated arm 24 and 30 of the articulated arm 26 each lie on the inside of the segments 12 and 14 and are fixed with them connected, for example screwed (not shown here). The vertical upward-facing surfaces 32 of the articulated arm 24 or 34 of the articulated arm 26 are elongated and have rounded end areas, so that none here Projections forming corners or protruding with sharp edges on the inside of the Cover are formed. Both the articulated arm 26 and the articulated arm 24 have tab-like extensions, each of which has the bore for receiving the in include the articulation axis not shown in the drawings. The rag-like Extension 36 of the articulated arm 26 (see FIG. 1) and the tab-like extension 38 of the articulated arm 24 lie in the assembled form within a semicircular recess Groove 40 that is recessed in segment 14 near the convex end surface 20 is. The hinge axis (not shown here) thus lies within this groove. To the The articulated axis 22 can be the articulated arms 24 and 26 and thus the segments 12 and 14 are pivoted against each other. In Fig. 3 the segments are straight aligned with each other. This corresponds to the closed position of the cover element, d. H. of the garage door.

As can be seen in particular from FIGS. 1 and 2, the end face 42 is the vertical surface 34 of the articulated arm 26 rounded such that the radius in essentially corresponds to the radius of the concave end face 18 of the segment 12. Thus here when pivoting the segment 12 relative to the Segment 14 always formed only a small - constant - gap, so that too an effective pinch protection is achieved here.

Another embodiment of the present invention is shown in FIGS shown. Here are parts, the parts of each of the above-described embodiment correspond with the same numbers. In the present case are the L-profiles, which form the articulated arms 24 and 26, at the edge region of the segments 12 and 14 connected to segments 12 and 14. The areas 28 of the Articulated arm 24 and 30 of the articulated arm 26 are again with the inner surface of the Sectional gates connected, while the vertically protruding surfaces 32 of the Articulated arms 24 and 34 of the articulated arm 30 are not in this embodiment variant are perpendicular to the inner surface of the segments 12 and 14, but instead run perpendicular and parallel to the side edges of segments 12 and 14, partially covering it. The respective tab-like extensions 36 and 38 to form the corresponding receiving eye for the hinge axis 22 which However, not shown here, also run to the side of the side edge of the Segments 12 and 14 and are arranged such that the hinge axis 22 also here in the area of the semicircular groove 40. The tab-like extension 38 of the surface 32 of the L-profile 24 extends over the entire width of the surface 32, so that a lateral tamper protection is formed here.
