Weiterhin werden die Abmessungen des Löffels 16 an den Bordrechner weitergegeben. In einem hier ebenfalls nicht näher dargestellten Speicher des Bordrechners sind die zu dem angebauten Löffel notwendigen Ölmengen bzw. Druckverhältnisse für den Hydraulikkreis abgelegt. Nach Einlesen des Typs des Löffels 16 werden diese Daten dann vom Bordrechner bereitgestellt, so daß die Hydraulikpumpe auf die richtige Ölmenge und den richtigen Öldruck eingestellt werden kann. Weiterhin kann gleichzeitig die Nutzlast und die mögliche Reichweite bzw. Grabtiefe und Höhe des Baggerauslegers bestimmt werden. Gleichzeitig können entsprechende Grenzwerte in einer Sicherheitssteuerung erzeugt werden, die eine Fehlbedienung des Hydraulikbaggers sicher verhindert. Derartige Sicherheitssteuerungen sind bei bekannten Hydraulikbaggern bereits vorgesehen und brauchen an dieser Stelle nicht weiter erläutert werden.
