From the leaflet of Weber Control BV, Coevorden, The Netherlands, titled "Busbar Systems 1250 - 1500 A" (1999 Edition), an electrical terminal is known for connecting electrical conductors to a busbar. The busbar is designed as a so-called double rail and consists of two parallel and spaced-apart flat rails with a rectangular cross-section. The terminal consists essentially of two U-shaped clamping parts, which can be braced against each other via a threaded screw with a hexagonal head. In order to attach the terminal at any point along the busbar, the lower clamping member and the upper clamping member is placed respectively from above and below on the end faces of the spaced side by side busbars, so that the legs of the U-shaped clamping members each side of the end faces of the busbars embrace. The legs of the U-shaped clamping parts are facing each other in this mounting position. About the threaded screw are the both clamping parts moved towards each other and braced with the busbar and thus are in electrical contact with each other. For this purpose, the threaded screw is guided via a central bore in the upper clamping part between the two parallel busbars into a central threaded bore in the lower clamping part. Between the upper side of the upper clamping part and the hexagonal screw head, either a flat rail or a cable boot of a cable is electrically conductively attached to the connecting terminal. Since the clamping parts of the terminal are formed symmetrically to the threaded screw, the clamping forces can be applied evenly to the two parallel busbars.
This terminal can also be used for individual trained as a rectangular flat rails busbars. However, in order to achieve the desired clamping action between the clamping parts on the now eccentrically arranged to the flat rail threaded screw, although only one busbar is present, a U-shaped bracket is inserted between the now free clamping areas of the two clamping parts. The bracket thus serves as a kind of abutment.
Since this terminal is basically designed for use with the frontal connection of electrical conductors to double busbars, their installation proves to be very complicated in simple busbars through the additional bracket. Also, the structure of the terminal itself is complicated by the bracket.
Proceeding from this, the present invention has the object to provide a simple terminal for connecting an electrical conductor to a single bus bar, which provides easy installation with good contact with the busbar.
This object is achieved by a terminal for connecting an electrical conductor to a busbar with the features of
According to the invention, in an electrical connection terminal for connecting an electrical conductor to a single busbar, with a first clamping part and a second clamping part, which are clamped in an affixed state with their respective clamping surfaces via a laterally arranged next to the busbar connecting element to the busbar, thereby the first clamping part and the connecting element are designed such that, starting from a pre-assembly state in which the clamping parts rest loosely on the busbar, by actuating the connecting element in addition to the clamping movement of at least the first clamping part in the direction of the busbar, a pivoting movement of the first clamping part in the direction of Busbar takes place. As a result, an almost full-surface contacting of the contact surfaces of the clamping part and the busbar (here the clamping surface of the clamping part and the end face of the busbar) is achieved. The core of the present invention is to be seen at terminals in connection with individual busbars in the unfolding of the contact surfaces of the clamping part and busbar, which is caused by a relation to the busbar off-center force application via the connecting element on the clamping parts. This is done in the present invention, characterized in that the expected pivoting of the clamping member is compensated by the eccentric introduction of force via the connecting element characterized in that the contact surfaces of the clamping member with respect to the connection surfaces of the connecting element below the expected by the attachment to the clamping part pivot angle becomes. Thus, the desired full-surface contact of the clamping surface of the first clamping part is achieved at the end face of the busbar only after completed attachment of the clamping member with the pivoting of the invention.
For the off-center initiation of the clamping force, the connecting element has a threaded bolt, which is guided through a bore in the first clamping part.
In order to determine the degree of pivoting desired of the first clamping member in the attachment and to be able to connect an electrical conductor to the terminal, a connection surface for the electrical conductor is arranged on the first clamping member and the connection surface in an angle deviating from a right angle aligned with the longitudinal axis of the bore in the first clamping part.
In a preferred embodiment, the electrical conductor may be formed as a flat rail or as a cable boot of a conductor, which can be fastened via a threaded nut cooperating with the threaded bolt on the connection surface.
The first and the second clamping part are substantially L-shaped, each with a long leg and a short leg configured with arranged in the fastening state facing each other sides of the long legs clamping surfaces which abut in the attached state on opposite sides of the busbar.
A particularly good electrical contact between the first clamping part and the busbar can be achieved if the busbar is designed as a flat rail with rectangular cross section and corresponding end faces and side surfaces and clamp in the state of attachment, the clamping surfaces of the first and second clamping members to the end faces of the busbar. A further improvement of the electrical contact can be achieved if adjacent to the short legs and perpendicular to the clamping surfaces contact surfaces, which rest in the attached state on the side surface of the busbar.
Due to the advantage with respect to an aligned at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the connecting element end face of the busbar, the clamping surface of the first clamping member is aligned parallel to the pad.
Constructively particularly advantageous may be to form the threaded bolt and the second clamping member in one piece and to let pass the threaded nut opposite end of the threaded bolt in the short leg of the second clamping part.
According to the desired in connection with the present invention effect of compensating for the rotation of the clamping part in the attachment, the inner wall of the bore is pivoted in the attached state at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the threaded bolt and the threaded bolt is pressed into the long leg opposite part of the inner wall. Here by an additional self-assurance of the clamp connection is achieved. The aforementioned angle can be in the range of 5 ° to 6 ° and is preferably 5 °.
It also follows from the gist of the present invention that in the preassembled state, the first clamping part rests on the end face only in the region of its end facing away from the contact surface, the remaining part of the clamping surface and the contact surface being spaced from the end face or side face of the busbar. The inner wall of the bore extends parallel to the longitudinal axis of the threaded bolt.
In a preferred manner, the first clamping part can be produced as a hot pressed part made of copper. The adjoining outer surfaces of the first clamping member, which are aligned at a different angle to each other from a right angle, facilitate the release of the pressing part from the tool.
