Abstract

The method involves feeding wheel sensor pulses to the controller for vehicle speed determination and controlling the lock accordingly. The wheel circumference difference is determined by summing pulses for each wheel over a defined period and aligning it with the sum for the other wheel. A minimum speed from which pulses are summed is determined, the summation is repeated and a correction value derived from the summation and fed to the controller. The method involves feeding pulses corresponding to wheels from sensors to the controller for vehicle speed determination and controlling a differential lock depending on the pulses, whereby the wheel circumference difference is determined by summing the pulses for each wheel over a defined period and aligning it with that for the other wheel. A minimum speed from which the pulses are summed is determined, the summation is repeated, at least one value is derived from the summation and fed to the controller to correct control of the differential lock.
