Description

The present invention relates to a self-adhesive tape for closing, sealing and bonding joints in house building, in particular joints in corners or edges. Such adhesive tapes are also referred to as mounting tapes, vapor barrier tapes or vapor barrier films. They are used in particular for sealing joints between window and door frames and the corresponding edges of the respective wall opening. It is necessary in this case that on the one hand the adhesive tapes adhere well on different grounds and on the other hand the self-adhesive tape can be easily attached, i. stick together. Another application of such self-adhesive tapes is in sealing joints between individual components, e.g. Corners between house exterior walls. The sealing function of the tapes is to close the joints as airtight and permanently as possible.

Such adhesive tapes generally comprise a carrier layer and an adhesive layer bonded thereto, the adhesive layer being provided with a peelable cover film as protection for the adhesive. After removing the cover sheet, the tape is first glued to one edge of the joint and then to the other edge of the joint. A generic adhesive tape, which corresponds to the preamble of claim 1, is made US 4,977,718 A known.

A problem of such adhesive tapes is that the adhesive layer must be adapted for different substrates. For example, the adhesive layer must adhere to wood or plastic as well as to slightly porous substrates such as plaster, plaster, concrete or masonry. Another problem with the known Montageklebebändem is that by subsequent further processing at the top of the tape, for example by brushing plaster, there is a risk that solves the tape from the ground and thus the joints to be sealed are leaking.

It is therefore the object of the present invention to provide a self-adhesive tape for closing, sealing and bonding joints, which is optimized in its adhesion properties in terms of further processing with plaster or the like. Another object of the invention is to provide a self-adhesive tape for sealing joints, which is inexpensive to produce and yet ensures a good and durable sealing function.

This object is achieved with a self-adhesive tape according to the features mentioned in claim 1. Advantageous embodiments and further developments are the subject of the dependent claims.

The tape according to the invention has a carrier layer on which, for example, by coating, an adhesive layer is applied. The adhesive layer in turn is provided with a peelable cover sheet, which is also referred to as a liner or protection to protect the adhesive layer from dirt and the like or to allow a rolling up of the adhesive tape even with strong adhesive. According to the invention, the band has at least one lateral longitudinal section, ie a region on a longitudinal side of the adhesive tape in which the carrier layer and the adhesive layer are perforated. Perforated means here that at least one row of through openings are provided in the carrier layer and the adhesive layer. Through the perforation, the adhesion of the tape is the subsequent overpainting with plaster or plaster or the like improved. Because in this way, the plaster adheres in the openings of the perforation directly to the ground and thus enhances the adhesion of the tape on a porous surface. It is thereby avoided that due to the moisture and the weight of a applied plaster layer or the like, the tape can be detached from the substrate and thus leaks or the plaster layer can break. Also during the subsequent gluing of the tape with a wallpaper or with decorative plates the adhesion of the adhesive layer on the substrate is improved. The perforation is provided only at a lateral longitudinal section of the adhesive tape, so that the central adhesive region can ensure the sealing function of the adhesive tape safely. The perforation of the lateral longitudinal portion of the adhesive tape may be formed from substantially round, square or oval openings, which are preferably arranged evenly distributed. This ensures that the adhesive function of the adhesive layer is impaired as little as possible and yet a penetration of a layer to be applied to the adhesive tape of a material through the openings can thereby adhere to the substrate to which the adhesive tape is adhered.

In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the openings of the perforated longitudinal section have an average diameter of at least 3 millimeters.

Advantageously, the openings are substantially round, angular or oval.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, two lateral longitudinal sections are provided, which are perforated. With such an adhesive tape joints can be sealed between components in the interior, in which both sides of the joint, the tape is then reworked with a layer of material. Nevertheless, regardless of the thickness of the applied to the tape plaster layer, the tightness in the joint area is ensured by the fact that in the middle of the tape is not perforated. The non-perforated section is hereby wider than the maximum width of the joints to be sealed.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, a non-adhesive central strip is provided and the perforated longitudinal portion is spaced from the median strip. This has the advantage that the tape can be smoothly glued to corners or edges without wrinkling, as the non-adhesive center strip allows the tape to press into the corner without causing it immediately sticks and wrinkles form during gluing. The fact that the perforated longitudinal portion is spaced from the central strip, is prevented that the perforation openings lead to leaks when the joint to be sealed is covered with the non-adhesive central strip.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the carrier layer, the adhesive layer and the peelable cover sheet are perforated. This production-related has the advantage that the tape can be produced in a simple manner. The cover sheet thereby prevents a perforating tool, such as e.g. a punching device, comes into contact with the adhesive layer of the self-adhesive tape.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the carrier layer consists of a material which has a good adhesive property for plaster. Such good adhesive properties are ensured, for example, by an open-pored material. The connection between the plaster and the carrier layer and thus also the adhesive bond of the tape to the substrate is thereby improved. A detachment or breaking out of parts of the plaster is safely avoided.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the cover sheet has at least one slot in the longitudinal direction, wherein the tape along the slot can be folded onto itself so that at least a portion of the cover sheet is arranged outside. In this way, the tape can be glued easily in edge and corner areas, since first part of the cover sheet can be removed and this part of the tape can be glued without the adhesive layer of the other part of the tape is constantly unprotected and, for example, unintentionally glued to the sides. The processing of the adhesive tape is thereby simplified even in hard to reach or winding areas. Nevertheless, with the adhesive tape according to the invention a secure hold is ensured by the fact that the perforation openings a partial Penetrating the band of a layer to be applied, such as allow plaster, which is then applied to at least a portion of the band.

A further advantageous embodiment of the invention is that the carrier layer has on its upper side a Randklebeabschnitt, which is provided with a peelable cover sheet. This has the advantage that it is possible to stick the sealing strip to a window frame or door frame before it is installed in a wall opening. After installation, the other adhesive areas can then be glued to the wall and optionally plastered. This also special joints with special problems due to corners udgl. with the tape airtight sealable.

In FIG. 1 An assembly adhesive tape is shown, which has a carrier layer 1, an adhesive layer 2 and a cover film 3 provided on the adhesive layer 2. The cover sheet 3 is slit twice in this embodiment in the longitudinal direction of the tape, that is, it has two slots 6. Alternatively, the cover sheet may also be unslotted or have only a single slot 6. The carrier layer 1 and the adhesive layer 2 are perforated in a longitudinal portion 7 of the mounting tape, that is provided with a plurality of through openings. The perforation of the longitudinal section 7 may, as in the embodiment shown consist of round openings 8 or openings in an angular, oval or undefined shape. The openings of the perforation of the longitudinal section 7 may be arranged evenly distributed or be smaller in the direction of the lateral edge of the mounting tape or reduced in number. Preferably, the perforation openings are provided in the longitudinal section 7 with an average diameter of at least 3 mm, so as to ensure sufficient penetration of plaster, which is applied to the carrier layer after processing the mounting tape, and the plaster an additional holding effect by the connection with the Ground causes. This is in the longitudinal section 7 of the perforation while adhering the mounting tape, a reduced adhesive effect due to the openings of the perforation available, but this is then more than compensated by the applied wall plaster. It is advantageously avoided that such a load is exerted on the carrier layer of the adhesive tape by a layer of plaster or the like that the adhesive tape runs the risk of becoming detached from the substrate and becoming leaky.

In FIG. 2 is the mounting tape off FIG. 1 represented here, wherein here a part of the adhesive tape is folded on itself. Thus, a prefolded assembly adhesive tape is produced, which is prefolded on the slot 6 of the cover film 3 such that first part of the cover film 3 can be pulled off and, for example, easily glued in an edge or corner area, before the other part of the cover film 3 (FIG. in FIG. 2 on the non-illustrated back of the tape) can be removed and glued. The openings 8 of the perforated longitudinal section 7 of the adhesive tape are uniformly distributed round openings 8 in this embodiment, but they can also have a different one Have shape or arranged unevenly distributed over the longitudinal section 7.

FIG. 3 shows a further embodiment of the invention, wherein the carrier layer has on its upper side a Randklebeabschnitt 9, which is provided with a peelable cover sheet 10. In the FIG. 3 Due to the selected viewing angle, the self-adhesive tape according to the invention can be seen from its "underside". The picture of mounting tape the FIG. 3 otherwise corresponds to that of the mounting tape according to FIG. 1 , wherein like reference numerals designate like features.
