Verfahren zum Übermitteln einer geheimen Information mit einem Hilfmittel, wobei ein Lesezugang zu der vertraulichen Information nicht ohne spezielle Hilfsmittel möglich ist, und ein im wesentlichen mit einem Muster gleichmäßig geschwärzt bedruckter Bereich eine erste Linienstruktur aufweist, die in den abzulesenden, ein Zeichen o.dgl. der Information bildenden Bereichen eine Änderung erfahren haben, die durch Auf- oder Unterlegen einer zweiten Linienstruktur sich als Moireé-Muster lesbar abzeichnet.
