Abstract

Selon l'état antérieur de la technique, on utilise soit des multiplexeurs ATM soit des multiplexeurs IP. Une combinaison de ces deux types de multiplexeur ne serait pas économique et ne pourrait être atteinte que de façon très complexe. Le procédé selon l'invention constitue dans ce domaine une aide par le fait que le traitement de la couche IP est transféré dans le raccordement d'abonné. Ainsi les multiplexeurs ATM peuvent également être utilisés pour la mise à disposition de services et de fonctions sur Internet.
