Description

The invention relates to devices for assisting the discharge of a solid filter cake from a centrifuge.

The solids discharge is carried out at horizontally or vertically mounted peeler centrifuges normally characterized in that a peeler arranged on a scraper peels off a filter cake, wherein the filter cake is conveyed by a Austragungsmittel from the centrifuge drum. The Austragungsmittel can be designed as a steep sliding plate, a so-called chute, or as Schneckenaustrag.

All known Austragungssysteme for discontinuous filter centrifuges have the problem that, depending on the application, even very fine, non-crystalline, partially moist solids must be discharged with the tendency to deposit on surfaces prone consistency. Therefore, there is a fear that during the discharge process, the filter cake peeled off from the centrifuge drum is partially deposited on the surface of the discharge medium and an increasing product buildup occurs.

These product deposits are disadvantageous because, for example, they cause a displacement of the discharge, they lead to contamination / contamination of subsequent centrifuge batches, complicate the automatic cleaning with reproducible good results between the batches of product or prevent or even the attached Solid dissolves in modified consistency (eg compacted instead of powdered) from the Austragungsmittel.

To avoid deposits on the discharge, the discharge surface can be coated with a material which has a low tendency to adhesion to the solids. However, these coatings generally have a significantly lower corrosion resistance than the highly resistant base materials of the centrifuge (stainless steel, nickel-based material, titanium, etc.). There is also the risk that the coating of suspension, washing or cleaning liquid is attacked or too quickly due to abrasion wear.

An equipped as a suction scraper is for example from the DE-A-3340636 known. In this system, the peeled solid is entrained by a gas flow. For this purpose, a relatively high gas flow is required, which requires a high expenditure on equipment. Furthermore, the solids have to be separated from the gas stream which further increases the expenditure on equipment.

With relatively sticky or viscous solids, it is also possible to use screws as discharge elements. However, there is the problem that snails are difficult to clean, which is particularly disadvantageous in the pharmaceutical industry in the production of high purity products. Sensitive products can be ground by the auger. In the production of high purity products, there is also the requirement that the discharge be inspected after each cleaning process, which is possible only with great effort and involves the risk to contaminate the interior of the discharge during disassembly.

The DE-C-4330594 and the DE-A-1933545 describe each centrifuges with discharge devices in the form of screw conveyors.

The DE-A-3905341 describes a discharge device for centrifuges in the form of a chute or a fall plate according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

The invention has for its object to provide a discharge for the product discharge from centrifuges, are largely avoided in the product attachments.

The solution of this object is achieved by a device according to claim 1. The dependent claims relate to advantageous developments of the invention.

According to the invention cleaning elements are mounted in the discharge component, which clean the discharge surface of the Austragungsbauteils. Suitable movements (e.g., pivoting, rotating, pushing, or a combination thereof) of the cleaning elements over the inner surface of the chute prevent deposits or dislodge any deposits formed and, for example, carry gravity or other transport assisting effects out of the chute.

one of Fig. 2 corresponding representation of a variant of the discharge.

Fig. 1 shows a schematic cross-sectional view of a centrifuge with discharge. In a housing 9, a centrifuge drum 1 is rotatably mounted on a shaft, wherein the lateral surfaces of the centrifuge drum 1 are formed as a filter. Separated suspension is introduced into the interior of the centrifuge drum and the centrifuge drum is rotated. In doing so, liquid enters through the lateral surface of the centrifuge drum into the housing and is discharged there. At the inner surface of the drum shell thereby collects a filter cake.

To detach the filter cake, a sweeper 2, which can be swiveled by means of a drive 3, is provided.

After a filter cake has built up in a desired or predetermined thickness, the reamer 2 is moved from a rest position to a peeling position in the filter cake, wherein the centrifuge drum 1 can be set in a low-speed rotation. In this case, solids are peeled off the drum shell and fall under gravity into a chute 4, which is designed for example as a pipe with a steep and a vertical section. After passing through the chute (dashed line P in Fig. 1), the product is supplied for further processing. In that regard, the device described so far known centrifuges with discharge organs, and further details of the centrifuge are therefore not explained in detail.

In order to prevent or eliminate product adhesion to the sliding surface of the chute, a cleaning element 5 is provided according to the invention, which protrudes into the interior of the chute and is rotatably supported via an axle 6 by means of a drive 10.

The cleaning element 5 extends in the position shown parallel to the sliding surface of the chute 4 and sweeps over the sliding surface during rotation and prevents or abolishes product adhesions. The cleaning element can be operated continuously or intermittently. In this case, the cleaning element is temporarily rotated in a rest position remote from the sliding surface of the chute.

Fig. 2 zeigt einen Querschnitt durch die Schurre entlang der gestrichelten Linie A der Fig. 1.FIG. 2 shows a cross section through the chute along the dashed line A of FIG. 1. FIG.

In this embodiment, the cleaning element 5 is formed as a sheet, the product adhesions 7 dissolves or removed from the sliding surface of the chute 4.

Finally, FIG. 3 shows an embodiment in which the cleaning element is designed as a nozzle element 8. The nozzle member 8 is supplied via a hollow shaft 6 gas, in particular air, and the gas is introduced from the cleaning element 8 in the chute wall adhering product 7, so that the separation is supported. Here, unlike the discharge, no large gas flow required, so that the associated disadvantages mentioned above do not occur.

In a further embodiment, the cleaning element is designed as a scraper, which is pivoted as needed about the longitudinal axis of the chute, wherein the inner surface of the chute is cleaned. In the rest position of the cleaning element, the solids flow is not hindered, which can be achieved for example by positioning on the pivot axis. The cleaning element may also be designed as a single-leaf element rotating symmetrically or eccentrically about the central axis. In a further embodiment, the cleaning device comprises a plurality of blades which rotate about the central axis, wherein the axis of rotation need not be located centrally in the chute. The cleaning elements can also be arranged so that they are moved only at the points at which deposits are expected, with a small distance over the inner surface of the chute. In Schurrenformen that are not performed concentrically about a central axis, several cleaning elements can be used in the longitudinal direction of the chute, which clean only a certain contour of the chute.

In addition to cleaning devices in which a sheet is pivoted or moved about an axis, in further embodiments bars may be rotated about an axis, pivoted, or moved by linear movement along the inner surface of the chute such that the product is firmly bonded to the inner surface the chute is destroyed.

In further embodiments of the cleaning device, the pivot axis of one or more cleaning elements may be arranged transversely to the center axis of the chute, wherein e.g. the sheet is placed in the rest position so that it does not hinder the flow of product and is selectively guided as needed over the places where form deposits. The avoidance or removal of deposits by this method is also possible on other fixtures that allow in the rest position an unobstructed flow of the product through the chute and remove the deposit if necessary, they are arranged for inspection so that a complete insight and inspection of the surfaces is possible.

Furthermore, the cleaning elements may be provided at the top or one-sided / two-sided with nozzles. The additional gas stream reduces / prevents the attachment of the product or supports the cleaning. Furthermore, for the cleaning of the chute, embodiments are conceivable in which no solids, but e.g. viscous fluids are discharged from the centrifuge.

The cleaning elements may be arranged so as not to interfere with normal production flow through the discharge means, to be used only when needed, when deposits build up, generate no or no appreciable dead spots in the process space, do not interfere with cleaning of the process space, and provide a cleanability of inspection without disassembly or one opposite allow the execution without cleaning element increased effort.
