Abstract

Cette invention concerne un système relatif au non respect des limitations de vitesse sur route par un véhicule. Ce système comprend une station de base avec une unité de traitement de données qui traite des données transmises à un téléphone cellulaire local par un émetteur embarqué sur le véhicule routier, cet émetteur transmettant via GPS des informations sur la localisation géographique ainsi que sur l'identité du véhicule et sa vitesse en ce point géographique. L'émetteur, qui peut être en mode actif ou silencieux, est activé par un déclencheur qui reçoit du compteur de vitesse un signal indiquant une vitesse supérieure ou égale à une vitesse limite programmée dans le déclencheur de transmission. Ce déclencheur de transmission peut être re-programmé sur d'autres valeurs limites correspondant à une limitation de vitesse réglementaire. A cette fin, un ensemble de transmission cellulaire émet un signal de commande sur un canal de commande, signal qui est reçu par un sélecteur sur le véhicule. Le signal de commande émis par l'ensemble de transmission cellulaire informe le sélecteur de la valeur de la limitation de vitesse la plus basse dans la cellule sollicitée par l'ensemble de transmission. En retour, le sélecteur programme le déclencheur de transmission en fonction de cette valeur de telle sorte qu'il puisse actionner l'émetteur en réponse à un signal de vitesse supérieure à la valeur programmée. En l'absence d'un signal de commande, le sélecteur programme le déclencheur sur la limitation de vitesse la plus élevée valable pour le véhicule considéré.
