Definitions

  • Such burners usually equip cooking appliances, domestic or professional, and can work with various types of fuel gaseous such as town gas, natural gas, gas liquefied petroleum.
  • Atmospheric type gas burners are arranged in such a way that the primary air necessary for good combustion is achieved downstream of the gas injector to be mixed with the gas leaving the injector.
  • This primary air can be drawn under the plane of baking or top plate: this is generally the case for burners fitted with a traditional venturi under biconical tubular shape, horizontal in extent (parallel to the top plate and transverse to the axis of the burner head) or vertical (coaxial with the axis of the burner head); this may also be the case for flat type burners in which the venturi occurs in radial annular form and is housed in the head of burner.
  • Primary air can also be drawn from above from the hob or top plate and switch between the upper side of the hob and the burner, which may or may not be fitted with a skirt peripheral: this is often the case for burners extra flat type with radial annular venturi integrated in the burner head.
  • the annular interval defined between the upper face of the hob and the burner head (or burner head skirt) is, he too, unsightly. This interval can also have a psychologically disruptive effect for users, since it may not be perceived, by some users, as being liquid tight (fear that the burner could be drowned).
  • the object of the invention is to try to remedy, in as much as possible, with the aforementioned drawbacks various known arrangements of atmospheric burners and to propose an original technical solution which, all maintaining correct operation of the burners which whatever their power and their arrangement, allows constitute a sealed and aesthetically pleasing burner satisfactory, without any additional cost either significant in the manufacture of burners or in their interview.
  • each air intake lumen primary education is lower than flame orifices, so that the light is functionally separate from the flame ports and that the primary air entering the light is not mixed with combustion products and does not cause (or substantially not) a fraction of these.
  • each air intake light primary is formed by a notch extending from from the upper edge of the side wall of the head burner, the bottom of said notch being located lower that the bottom of the notches forming the orifices of flames.
  • the said passage associated with light is defined by a inner wall at the burner head, which is curved and rests on the side wall by surrounding the above through light.
  • the above passage forms an interior well at the burner head which extends between the above-mentioned light and, by a bent part, the injector.
  • the above passage forms an interior well at the burner head which is open below towards the outside of the head burner through the bottom of it, primary air circulating then, after its exit from the aforementioned well, in the space defined in the cooking appliance between the plate top or hob and a bottom plate closing the cooking appliance and the separating, for example, from another household appliance or from a underlying cupboard.
  • the number of air intake lights primary can be any, or even be equal to the unit, provided that the total section offered to the primary air flow is sufficient to obtain correct operation of the burner, in practice the primary air intake lights are in a number between 2 and 8.
  • the primary air intake lights are at number of four, mutually offset by approximately 90 °, and whatever the power of the burner; moreover, to further simplify manufacturing, provision is made that, for all burners of various powers, all the lights have the same section and the same conformation determined on the basis of the most high, i.e. based on the needs of the burner the more powerful from a range of burners.
  • the arrangements according to the invention constitutes a gas burner for the operation of which no opening or interval of whatever nature and location at the level of hob: the lights being located in height on the wall of the burner head, the burner is therefore perfectly waterproof.
  • the means provided by the invention adapt to all types of atmospheric burners and can result in a unique configuration for burners of all types and powers - therefore of all dimensions -. This results in a atmospheric burner arrangement which is aesthetically pleasing pleasant and fearless - not even founded - in users. Furthermore the burner operation is not affected by arrangements according to the invention.
  • the means used in accordance with the invention consist of a particular arrangement of the head of a atmospheric burner so that the primary air is brought to the gas injector, regardless of location of it, being taken through the side wall perimeter of the burner head.
  • lights or vents judiciously positioned in flame-free areas main and located at a level chosen so that the primary air drawn through these lights is not contaminated by combustion products of flames main.
  • These lights or gills can be in number any, considering that the total section offered to the passage of primary air must allow a clean air flow to meet criteria combustion in accordance with the legal requirements in force.
  • the burner now includes all the means fuel and oxidant supply, while so far the primary air supply to the burner could depend only on the layout of the cooking appliance.
  • an atmospheric gas burner 1 includes a burner head 2 having a side wall perimeter 3 provided with flame orifices 4 distributed peripherally and in communication with a room interior 5 for distributing a combustible mixture gas / air (shown schematically by the arrows 6 in dashes).
  • the head burner 2 also includes a bottom 7 made so integral with the perimeter side wall 3 (head of pot-shaped burner), said bottom 7 being arranged for support a gas injector 8 with a vertical axis and for define a nozzle 9, horizontal, for connection to a tube gas supply (not shown).
  • Above the injector 8 and coaxially thereto extends a vertical central passage 10 which opens out in the center of a transverse plate 11 connecting peripherally to the perimeter side wall 3.
  • Above of the tray 11 extends a cover or cap 12 releasably resting on top of the wall perimeter lateral 3.
  • the external annular parts facing the cap 12 and plate 11 define, with the wall lateral perimeter 3, the aforesaid distribution chamber 5 of annular shape into which the venturi opens ring finger 15.
  • the upper edge of the side wall perimeter 3 is provided with a plurality of notches through 16 which, being closed at the top by the cap 12, form the above-mentioned flame orifices 4.
  • the burner head 2 is provided with means for attachment 17 (for example a projecting annular flange radially or projecting legs) suitable for allowing its fixing (for example by screwing) on the periphery of a orifice 18 of a hob or top plate 19 a cooking appliance, orifice 18 through which the upper part of the burner head is engaged and protrudes above the top plate 19 (which can, at this location, be locally domed 20 surmounting the rest of the plate).
  • means for attachment 17 for example a projecting annular flange radially or projecting legs
  • FIG. 2 A partial side view, from the outside and at flat, of the burner head 2 is presented in FIG. 2, on which the notches 16 are clearly visible.
  • At least one area of the perimeter side wall 3 has no orifices flames and primary air supply means downstream injector 8 (i.e. in the outgoing gas jet of the injector) include at least one light through 21 located in said zone of the wall 3 devoid of flame orifices.
  • a passage from communication 22 is established inside the head of burner 2 and behind said light 21, being isolated from the distribution chamber 5, in order to establish a communication between said light 21 and the injector 8.
  • passage 22 is delimited by a partition 23 inside the burner head, curved in an arc and resting on the wall lateral 3 by surrounding the aforesaid light 21.
  • passage 22 is in the form of a well inside the burner head, having an extension vertical along the side wall 3 and extending bent downward towards the injector by a radial duct 24.
  • the lumen 21 is formed, from the same way as the aforementioned notches 16, by a notch extending vertically from the edge upper side wall 3, the bottom of said notch being located substantially lower than the bottom notches 16 as can be seen in FIG. 1.
  • Lights 21 can be in any number, observing, however, that too many of these lights 21 would reduce the number of flames.
  • a single light should present a large passage section and the vertical passage 22 associated with it would be difficult to house locally inside the burner head.
  • the lights can be in any number between 2 and 8, preferably two to two mutually opposed.
  • the well 22 and the radial duct 24 have substantially the same section so that the primary air flow 25 is not braked on its way to the injector.
  • the set of lights 21, the set wells 22 and all of the radial conduits 24 define a total section sufficient for the air primary arrives downstream of the injector with the flow appropriate in relation to the flow of the gas jet delivered by the injector.
  • the section of the lights 21 is then defined on the basis of the primary air requirements of the burner of the highest power in the range.
  • the most powerful burner of a range of burners for cooking appliances has a power of 3.5 kW.
  • the surface of each of the four lights 21 must be at least 120 mm 2 .
  • the upper edge of the wall lateral perimeter 3 is, in the intervals between the notches 16 defining the flame orifices 4, fitted with small through slots 26 of low depth; in a complementary way the upper edge of curved walls 23 is provided with at least one small notch analog 26 '; the small notches 26, 26 'are intended to ensure the propagation of the main flames on the around the burner head, especially when ignition of the burner.
  • arrangements according to the invention providing a primary air supply integrated into the within the burner head is not specifically inherent in the type of burner with annular venturi radial which has been more particularly considered: arrangements according to the invention may also be used in burners fitted with a venturi biconical tubular, either horizontal or vertical.
  • FIG. 4 of the accompanying drawings is illustrated very schematically a vertical venturi burner (the same reference numbers are kept to designate organs or parts similar to those of FIGS. 1 to 3).
  • the burner of figure 4 is mainly distinguished of that of FIG. 1 by the arrangement of the venturi: the perimeter side wall 3 and bottom 7 define a distribution chamber 5 of annular shape, surrounding a vertical central passage 10 through which the mixture arrives gas-air (arrow 6 in dashed lines).
  • a section vertical tubular 27 convergent-divergent, forming venturi, under the orifice of which is arranged, at a distance and coaxially, a vertical gas injector 8.
  • the side wall 3 has at least one area which is devoid of notches 16 forming orifices of flames 4 and in which a light 21 is provided large section which, behind (i.e. inside of the burner head), leads to a vertical shaft 22 defined by a vertical partition 23, for example of shape rounded on the back of the wall lateral 3.
  • a vertical shaft 22 defined by a vertical partition 23, for example of shape rounded on the back of the wall lateral 3.
  • the well 22 opens, by a orifice 28 at the bottom 7 of the burner head, outside of the burner head.
  • the primary air flow passes through the light 21, passes through the well 22, then through hole 28 enters the underlying space 29 to the hob 19 (space which is closed bottom, for example by a bottom plate not shown), thereby feeding the output of injector 8 where it mixes with the gas jet.
  • the primary air flow 25 opens through the lower orifice 28 of the well 22 into the intermediate space 29 between the plate cooking 19 and the bottom plate 31 where it feeds the injector outlet 8.
