Description d'un mode de réalisation préférentiel.Description of a Preferred Embodiment

With reference to FIG. 1, a mountaineering crampon 10 comprises a frame 12 metal having a plurality of vertical anchoring teeth 14 for penetrate the ice or hard snow to allow progression on the ground glacial safely. The armature 12 is mounted under the sole 16 of a 17 mountain shoe, and is composed of a 12A front frame connected to a rear frame 12B by a connecting bar 18, which is adjustable in length depending on the size of the shoe.

The front frame 12A of the frame 12 is provided with a first element of fastener 20 in the form of a stirrup bearing on the front edge 22 of the sole 16. The stirrup 20 is U-shaped by means of a steel wire, the ends of which opposite are mounted to tilt about a transverse axis 24. The stirrup 20 can also be replaced by a stop equipped with straps covering the front of the shoe.

The rear frame 12B of the frame 12 is equipped with a second element of fastener 26 engaging with the posterior rim 28 of the heel of the 16. The second fastening element 26 comprises by way of example a metal stirrup.

Une sangle de sécurité 34 est solidarisée au deuxième étrier de fixation 26, de manière à entourer la tige de la chaussure 17 au moyen d'un système de retenue 36.A fastening device 30 with a lateral operating lever 32 is associated with the second fixing bracket 26 for locking and unblocking the heel of the shoe 17 on the crampon 10, following a longitudinal displacement of the second fixing bracket 26 relative to the first bracket 20 of the front frame 12A. A safety strap 34 is secured to the second bracket 26, so to surround the upper of the shoe 17 by means of a retaining system 36.

Une extension 42 repliée de la branche 43 transversale du cadre postérieur 12B est pourvue d'un orifice 44 rectangulaire pour le passage de la barrette de liaison 18.With reference to FIGS. 2 to 5, the rear frame 12B of the frame 12 comprises a bearing surface 38 of the sole 16, said surface being perforated in the part central by an opening 40. A folded extension 42 of the branch 43 cross section of the posterior frame 12B is provided with a rectangular orifice 44 for the passage of the connecting bar 18.

On each side of the body of the rear frame 12B is arranged a rack 46 having a plurality of notches spaced in the longitudinal direction for adjusting the fastening device 30.

The other end 50 of the bracket 26 passes through a sleeve 52 mounted free rotation on an extension 54 bent from the operating lever 32. The hinge pin 56 of the operating lever 32 is introduced into the corresponding rack 46, and is offset with respect to the rotary sleeve 52 carried by the extension 54. Each end 48, 50 of the fixing bracket 26 comprises a flat part 58 (visible on the end 48 in Figure 5) having a width greater than the diameter of the holes Adjustable locks in the racks 46.

The fixing stirrup 26 also comprises two loops 60 serving for fastening the safety strap 34.

The operating lever 32 of bent form constitutes a toggle with the strand lateral of the second fixing bracket 26.

Durant ce déplacement se produit le passage de point mort de la genouillère lorsque l'axe 56 passe en-dessous du brin latéral de l'étrier de fixation 26.The control towards the locking state of the fastening device 30 (FIGS. 1 and 2) is effected by pivoting the lateral operating lever 32 in the direction of the clockwise indicated in Figure 4 by the arrow F1. The socket 52 is driven in the same direction by describing a circular arc centered on the axis 56. second mounting bracket 26 is pulled in translation forwards (arrow F2), so as to tighten as much as possible the posterior rim 28 of the heel of the sole 16. During this shift occurs the passage of neutral point of the knee when the axis 56 passes below the lateral strand of the fixing bracket 26.

The presence of the knee joint makes this locking position of the lever of maneuver 32 perfectly stable. The grip end of the lever maneuver 32 is inserted in addition to one of the loops 60 of the stirrup 26 so avoid unintentional unlocking.

The control towards the unlocking state of the fastening device 30 is operated by pulling on the ring 62 of the operating lever 32 in the direction of the arrow F3 (FIG. 2). The process is reversed compared to that of the blocking, and the lever of 32 returns to the position of Figure 3 causing the translation of the second bracket 26 to the rear (arrow F4). This results in a clearance sufficient to obtain the release of the heel 28 of the shoe.

With reference to FIGS. 6 and 7, the symmetrical arrangement of the two racks 46 in the body of the posterior frame 12B, allows the translation of the stirrup assembly of fixation 26 and attachment device 30 between several positions. This adjustment is carried out without disassembling, by tilting the lever 32 and the stirrup 26 completely forward. Matching the flat 58 with the slot longitudinal arrangement of the racks 46 allows the translation to a position of predetermined setting. This longitudinal position remains stable after recall of the stirrup 26 to the rear.

The two symmetrical racks 46 can be replaced by any other adjusting means for adjusting the longitudinal positioning of the second caliper of fixation 26 relative to the posterior frame 12B.

It is clear that the toggle attachment device described above can be used without a rack-and-pinion system of the fastening device 30. It then remains the length adjustment of the connecting bar 18 according to the size of the shoe.

La biellette 70 est montée à pivotement sur un axe 72 d'une patte solidaire du cadre 12B.In the variant of FIGS. 8 and 9, the knee attachment mechanism 30 is constituted by an intermediate rod 70 on which are articulated the caliper of fastener 26 and the operating lever 32. The link 70 is pivotally mounted on an axis 72 of a tab secured to the frame 12B.

Au lieu de monter le dispositif d'attache 30 à genouillère sur la cadre postérieur 12B, il est également possible de l'inverser en l'adaptant sur le cadre antérieur 12A.Instead of mounting the toggle fastener 30 on the posterior frame 12B, it is also possible to reverse it by adapting it to the previous frame 12A.

According to another variant, a second operating lever (not shown) can be mounted symmetrically on the armature so as to constitute a mechanism for double side levers.
