Abstract

The invention relates to a method for pickling hot-rolled special steel strips (1) having an austenite, ferrite and/or martensite structure. The inventive method is carried out in a pickling line (7) with pickling sections (8) containing acids and rinsing sections (9) containing rinsing water (15). The aim of the invention is to provide a method that does not require an additional stretch-leveling step for descaling. Da das Glühen von Edelstahlwarmband jeweils nach der weiteren Verarbeitung nicht zwingend erforderlich ist, kann die kostspielige Produktion auf einer Glüh- und Beizlinie bei gegebenen Umständen umgangen werden. Das Vorbeizen in der Salzsäure reduziert die gelöste Metallmenge in der Salpetersäure drastisch. Damit ist eine Reduzierung der bekannten problematischen Reaktionsprodukte (NOx-Gase in der Abluft und Nitrate im Ab- wasser), die aus der Produktion bekannt sind, verbunden. Auch bei Einsatz eines entsprechenden Ersatzmediums für die Salpetersäure entfallen ebenfalls die bekannten Nachteile. Nach der Lehre der Erfindung werden außerdem gebeizte Edelstahlwarmbander mit einer verbesserten Oberflächenqualität erzielt. Zudem gestalten sich die Betriebskosten wesentlich niedriger im Vergleich zu den be- kannten Verfahren. In Ausgestaltung ist vorgesehen, dass das Edelstahl warmband in zumindest einer Beizstufe mit Salzsäure gebeizt wird.
