Definitions
- the present invention relates to a device for the upright or largely vertical depositing of longitudinally extended, stick-like commodities, such as walking aids or crutches, umbrellas, walking sticks and the like, and a walking stick or crutch stand with a device.
- Mr. Oetiker himself disabled as a result of a hip operation, visited his doctor and witnessed an accident in the same waiting room with tragic consequences. Another patient, who was also waiting, put his crutches on the floor due to the lack of a better disposal option, over which crutches another patient acted and seriously injured himself. The latter then had to undergo an operation as a result of this accident, which he did not survive. Due to this event, Mr. Oetiker tried to locate devices by means of which the walking aids or crutches can be appropriately deposited. The found stands, for example from Binder Rehab, Heim- und Spital site, CH-5612 Villmergen AG and Achermann Hans, Schmiede und Metallbau, CH-5122 Menznau LU, were too heavy (approx. 3 to 5 kg), too voluminous and too cumbersome to use. No wonder that these stands available on the market, for example wise hardly used for crutches in medical practices, in restaurants, in public buildings etc.
- the object is achieved by means of a device according to the wording of claim 1.
- a device for the upright or largely vertical depositing of longitudinally extended, shock-like items of daily use, such as the walking aids or crutches mentioned, of umbrellas, walking sticks and the like, which is characterized by:
- At least one tubular element releasably connectable to the base plate
- a holding member to releasably hold the at least one tubular element again on the base plate.
- At least two tubular elements arranged next to one another are provided, which are suitable for accommodating at least one stick-like object, such as the crutch mentioned.
- Positioning aids such as pins, cams, punchings and the like are preferably provided on the base plate in order to position the tubular element or elements preferably in the center of the plate.
- the tubular element or the tubular elements arranged side by side in a twin-like manner has at least one guide or guide tube, provided for the passage of a pin-like holding member. Furthermore, a receptacle for inserting the front part of the pin-like holding member is provided in the base plate, the front part being fixable in the receptacle by means of a thread, bayonet catch or the like.
- the pin-like holding member can be formed, for example, in two parts with a first rod part, having an end threaded part and, at a distance from the threaded part, a stop part in order to drive the tubular element or the tubular element against the base plate in an attacking manner on the end of the guide tube which is remote from the base plate. If a further linkage part is provided, it can be connected to the first by screwing or plugging in, and a lifting element is preferably provided at the end of the further linkage part.
- the upper opening of the tubular element or elements is preferably bevelled with respect to the longitudinal axis of the tube, and at least one punch-out can be provided in the tube wall in the area of the upper opening in order to secure the tube or tubes to a tube holder, such as a screw, to attach a hook and the like to a wall, for example.
- the device proposed according to the invention is particularly suitable for the reception or the de- positioning of walking aids or crutches, however the device proposed according to the invention can also be used for the storage of umbrellas, walking sticks and other articles of everyday use.
- FIG. 1 in perspective, in the assembled state, the front view of a device according to the invention
- 2a and 2b show an embodiment variant of a base plate of the device from FIG. 1, in a top view and in a side view in the direction of the arrow I-I;
- 3a and 3b a further embodiment variant of a base plate in top view and in side view, corresponding to the line II-II;
- Fig. 4 in a perspective view from behind, two twin-shaped tubes arranged on a base plate;
- FIG. 5 shows a two-part retaining pin for fastening the tubes on the base plate
- FIG. 6 shows a composite device according to the invention, seen in perspective from behind
- Fig. 7 shows the device according to the invention in the disassembled state, suitable for transport, and
- Fig. 8 in perspective from the front, twin tubes, attached to brackets on a wall section.
- 1 shows a perspective view from the front of a device according to the invention or a walking stick stand 1 which is suitable for holding at least one pair of crutches.
- the walking stick or crutch stand 1 comprises twin holding tubes 3 and 5 which are firmly connected to one another and are firmly held on a base plate 7. So that these two tubes 3 and 5 are held in the correct position on the base plate 7, a cam 9 is punched out of the base plate 7 in the connection area of the two tubes, which is shown even more clearly in particular in FIGS. 2a and b.
- the two tubes 3 and 5 are held on the base plate 7 by means of a retaining pin 11.
- FIG. 2a and 2b show an embodiment variant of the base plate 7, having the cams 9 on the front as well as a thread receptacle 13 which is arranged in the rear connection area of the two pipes 3 and 5 to be received, which are indicated by dashed lines in FIG. 2a.
- the punched-out cam 9 and the threaded insert 13, which can be inserted or recessed, for example, in a hole-like recess in the base plate 7, can be clearly seen in particular in FIG. 2b.
- FIG. 3a and 3b show a further embodiment of the base plate 7, in which instead of the front cam 9 two punchings 15 and 17 are arranged in addition to the thread receptacle 13, which correspond approximately to the inner diameter of the two tubes 3 and 5.
- the outer edge 14 of these two punched-outs is preferably conical, as can be clearly seen in particular in FIG. 3b.
- 3b shows a side view in the direction of arrow II, the two punched-outs 15 and 17 are arranged exactly one behind the other, and thus only one punched-out can be seen in each case.
- FIG. 4 shows a perspective view from behind of the two pipes 3 and 5 attached to the base plate 7, but without the retaining pin.
- the holding pin 11 can be formed, for example, in two parts, as shown in FIG. 5.
- a first lower holding pin or holding rod 21 has a thread 23 on the front in order to be received in the thread-like receptacle 13 of the base plate.
- the lower retaining pin 21 is inserted through the guide 19, with a thickening 25 at the upper end of the guide 19 to hold the two tubes 3 and 5 firmly when screwing the pin 21 into the threaded receptacle 13 on the base plate 7.
- the lower retaining pin 21 has a further, preferably corrugated thickening 27, through which a perforation 28 is preferably provided. The latter will be discussed later.
- second retaining pin 29 can be screwed into the first pin with a terminal thread 31, which can have a lifting handle 33 at its upper end so that the device according to the invention can be lifted or carried from a floor in a simple manner in the assembled state.
- Fig. 6 shows the device 1 according to the invention in perspective from behind, in the assembled state, i.e. with inserted and screwed-in retaining pin 11.
- Two further cut-outs 35 and 37, which are preferably arranged in the two tubes 3 and 5 in the upper end region, can be seen in FIG. 6, and their mode of operation will be discussed with reference to FIG. 8.
- the two holding pin parts 21 and 29 can be unscrewed from the thread-like receptacle 13.
- the upper pin 29 is removed, and then the tere pin, which is usually difficult to unscrew the lower pin due to the back pressure, which results from knocking the thickening 25 on the upper part of the guide 19.
- the turned-out upper pin part 29 can be inserted through the hole 28, and, using the leverage effect, the lower pin 21 can be easily removed from the thread receptacle 13.
- the two tubes 3 and 5 can be lifted off the base plate 7 with ease, and the entire device can be deposited in the smallest space, as is impressively shown in FIG. 7.
- the device according to the invention can thus be easily transported in a pocket, a folder or the like.
- the device according to the invention is made of aluminum, for example, its weight can be reduced to less than 1 kg, so that the device according to the invention is not a problem to carry around or carry around.
- the base or base plate from iron and the receptacle tubes to be plugged on from a plastic, such as, for example, from a fiber-reinforced plastic.
- twin tubes 3 and 5 it is of course also possible to use only one tube. turn, or two again releasably connectable tubes, which can be plugged together, for example, or can be connected to one another by means of snap-in devices.
- FIGS. 1 to 8 are of course only examples which serve to explain the present invention in more detail. Of course, these devices can be modified, modified or supplemented by further elements in any desired manner. So it is of course not absolutely necessary that the pin-like holding member 11 is formed in two parts, but it can also be formed in one part or three parts, etc.
- the pin-like holding element can also be constructed in such a way that the upper part 29 directly for fastening the two tubes 3 and 5 on the
- Base plate 7 can be used, for example, by the thickening 30 engaging against the upper end of the guide 19 when the front thread 31 is screwed into the thread receptacle 13 in the base plate 7.
- the tubes can also be designed to be beveled at the top or straight, and the tubes can also have a lower bottom or be open, as shown in the exemplary embodiment in FIGS. 1 to 8.
- the choice of material is also immaterial, it is important in the device according to the invention that a stable depositing of walking aids, crutches and the like is possible, which means that a certain weight of the device is necessary.
