Abstract

Es wird ein Kraftstoffeinspritzsystem für eine Brennkraftmaschine, insbesondere einen Dieselmotor beschrieben. Das Kraftstoffeinspritzsystem umfasst einen, von typischerweise mehreren, über eine Kraftstoffhochdruckleitung (13) mit unter hohem Druck vorgehaltenem Kraftstoff versorgten Kraftstoffinjektor (1) zum Einspritzen des Kraftstoffs in den Brennraum der Brennkraftmaschine während eines Einspritzvorgangs. In der Kraftstoffhochdruckleitung (13) ist dem Kraftstoffinjektor (1) vorgeschaltet ein Drucksteuerventil (26) zur Steuerung des Drucks des während des Einspritzvorgangs eingespritzten Kraftstoffs vorgesehen. Erfindungsgemäß enthält das Drucksteuerventil (26) einen frei verschieblichen beidseitig wirkenden Kolben (30) und einen in den Strömungsweg der Kraftstoffhochdruckleitung (13) geschalteten Schieber (32) zum Öffnen und Schließen des Durchgangsquerschnitts des Strömungsweges der Kraftstoffhochdruckleitung (13) in Abhängigkeit von der Lage des Kolbens (30). An der Vorderseite des Kolbens (30) ist ein diesen in Öffnungsrichtung des Schiebers (32) beaufschlagender erster Druckraum (36) vorgesehen und an der Rückseite des Kolbens (30) ist ein diesen in Schließrichtung des Schiebers (32) beaufschlagender zweiter Druckraum (38) vorgesehen. Ein Stellventil (14, 16) dient zum Einstellen der Drücke im ersten und/oder zweiten Druckraum (36, 38) im Sinne einer Verschiebung des Kolbens (30) in Öffnungs- oder Schließstellung. Das erfindungsgemäße Kraftstoffeinspritzsystem ermöglicht eine proportionale Ansteuerung des Kraftstoffeinspritzdrucks während des Einspritzvorgangs über einen weiten Einstellbereich.
