Abstract

Audio digital transmission system has a central unit, a device to select one of several sources of digital audio signals, a device to send a transparent transmission signal from a chosen digital audio signal and to send it and an external unit to pick up the transmission signal. Coding/data rate for the audio signals is not changed for transmission. Carrier frequency is changed within a frequency range. An Independent claim is also included for a method for transmitting digital audio signals from a central unit to external units.
