Abstract

Es wird ein Verfahren zur Audioserviceumschaltung bei einem Rundfunkempfänger vorgeschlagen, wobei ein Zeitversatz zwischen äquivalenten Audioservices bestimmt wird und dieser Zeitversatz bei der Umschaltung berücksichtigt wird, so daß für einen Zuhörer keine merklichen Umschalteffekte auftreten. Der Zeitversatz wird entweder durch einen Vergleich von Sprachpausen oder durch einen Vergleich einer gemittelten Kurzzeitleistung der verschiedenen Audioservices bestimmt. Die Signale des Audioservices, der zeitlich vorausläuft, werden für die Umschaltung zwischengespeichert. Durch die Verwendung eines asynchronen Abtastratenumsetzers kann eine Verzögerung entsprechend dem Zeitversatz zwischen den übertragenen Audioservices eingestellt werden. Aus der Kurzzeitleistung kann weiterhin ein Lautstärkefaktor zwischen den übertragenen Audioservices ermittelt werden, um die Lautstärke bei der Umschaltung anzupassen. Bei der Umschaltung wird zunächst auf Mono geschaltet und dann langsam auf Stereo.

A method for audio service switching in a radio receiver is proposed, wherein a time offset between equivalent audio services is determined and this time offset is taken into account when switching over, so that no noticeable switching effects occur for a listener. The time offset is determined either by a comparison of speech pauses or by a comparison of an average short-term performance of the different audio services. The signals of the audio service that is running ahead of time are buffered for the switchover. By using an asynchronous sample rate converter, a delay can be set according to the time offset between the audio services being transmitted. A volume factor between the transmitted audio services can also be determined from the short-term power in order to adjust the volume when switching. When switching over, the switch is first made to mono and then slowly to stereo.
