Abstract

Le procédé de l'invention concerne un traitement anti-feutrage d'un matériau comportant de la laine, ledit procédé comprenant une étape d'imprégnation du matériau par de l'ammoniac liquide et une étape d'élimination de l'ammoniac liquide pour un lavage à l'eau , lesdites étapes d'imprégnation et de lavage étant éventuellement réalisées alors que le matériau est sous tension. Le but du traitement est de réduire et même d'annuler la feutrabilité du matériau et simultanément d'améliorer un certain nombre de ces propriétés comme le toucher, le rendement tinctorial , la stabilité au lavage, la résistance à l'abrasion, l'allongement à la rupture, la capacité d'isolation thermique.
De préférence le temps d'imprégnation du matériau par l'ammoniac liquide est de 3 à 60 s et la tension exercée sur le matériau pendant les opérations d'imprégnation et de lavage est comprise entre O et 3,5 N/cm.
