Wenn beispielsweise bei einer Druckmaschine mit sechs Farbwerken nacheinander zwei Druckaufträge durchgeführt werden sollen, bei denen jeweils nur mit drei Farben gearbeitet wird, so können die drei Farbwerke, die bei dem ersten Druckauftrag nicht benötigt werden, schon für den nächsten Druckauftrag eingerichtet werden, so daß zwischen dem Ende des ersten Druckauftrags und dem Beginn des zweiten Druckauftrags keine Zeit mehr für das Auswechseln der Druckzylinderhülse benötigt wird.This method always allows a reduction in downtime, when not used in the first print job all the inking units of the printing press. Wenn keine zusätzlichen Sicherheitsmaßnahmen getroffen werden, sollte dieser Abstand mindestens 120 mm betragen. Die Umrüstung des Farbwerkes 16 auf den neuen Druckauftrag läßt sich somit vor Beendigung des vorherigen Druckauftrages bewerkstelligen, so daß ohne Zeitverlust mit dem neuen Druckauftrag begonnen werden kann. Wenn das Farbwerk 16 wieder in Betrieb genommen werden soll, wird der Berührungsschutz 40 wieder in die unwirksame Position gemäß
Claims (6)
- A method of exchanging a printing cylinder sleeve (26) in a printing machine having a central cylinder (14) and a plurality of ink units (16, 18) adapted to be adjusted against the central cylinder, and comprising each a plate cylinder (20) having a printing cylinder sleeve (26) mounted on a mandrel (24), wherein the plate cylinder (20) is moved away from the central cylinder (14) and the printing cylinder sleeve (26) is axially withdrawn from the mandrel (24) after a bearing (30) has been detached, the exchange of the printing cylinder sleeve (26) being performed while the printing machine is running, characterized in that the plate cylinder (20) is moved away from the central cylinder (14) to such an extent that a space formed between the plate cylinder (20) and the rotating central cylinder (14) becomes large enough for safely gripping the printing cylinder sleeve (26), and after the plate cylinder (20) has been moved away from the central cylinder (14), a safeguard (40) is brought into a position in which it shields a part of an end face and of the peripheral surface of the central cylinder (14) facing the plate cylinder (20).
- Method according to claim 1, characterized in that said space formed between a peripheral surface of the printing cylinder sleeve (26) and the peripheral surface of the central cylinder (14) has a width of at least 120 mm when the cylinder sleeve is exchanged.
- Printing machine for carrying out the method of claim 1, comprising a central cylinder (14), and a plurality of ink units (16, 18) adapted to be adjusted against the central cylinder and each comprising a plate cylinder (20) having a printing cylinder sleeve (26) thrust onto a mandrel (24), characterized in that a safeguard (40) is mounted on the side of the printing machine to which the printing cylinder sleeve is withdrawn from the mandrel, said safeguard shielding an edge portion of the central cylinder (14) facing the plate cylinder (20), and in that, when the plate cylinder (20) is withdrawn from the central cylinder (14), a space is formed between the peripheral surface of the printing cylinder sleeve (26) and the safeguard (40), large enough to safely grip the printing cylinder sleeve (26) at its periphery and to withdraw it from the mandrel (24).
- Printing machine according to claim 3, characterized in that the safeguard (40) is adjustably mounted to the machine frame (10).
- Printing machine according to claim 4, characterized in that the safeguard (40) has a shield plate (44) extending essentially in parallel with the peripheral surface of the central cylinder (14), and is adjustable in the direction in parallel with the axis of rotation of the central cylinder (14) into an operative position in which the shield plate (44) shields a part of the peripheral surface of the central cylinder (14).
- Printing machine according to claim 5, characterized in that has a side member (10) of the machine frame has a window (34) through which the printing cylinder sleeve (26) can be withdrawn from the mandrel (24), and the safeguard (40) is withdrawable into said window (34).
