Abstract
Description
- The present invention relates to men's underwear briefs, and more particularly, to men's underwear briefs designed to enhance user's comfort and health advantages by improving the ventilation system thereof to provide effective ventilation and a feeling of comfortable fit.
- The male or female underwear is generally worn for the purpose of covering principal parts of the body or protecting the principal parts or keeping the same warm. Recently, the more elegantly designed underwear has been made by using various fabrics and patterns.
- In particular, a men's underwear is configured to maintain the wearer's healthy condition by an improved absorptive property of sweat and ventilation, while a women's underwear is mostly directed to strengthening pretty-looking designs.
- As shown in
FIG. 1 , men'sunderwear briefs 101 have a predeterminedaccommodating portion 102 for accommodating a male penis and scrotum in the front, interior portion of the brief 101. Theaccommodating portion 102 may have a pocket for releasing the penis when necessary, or may be integrated into the underwear briefs in a closed construction. -
Openings 103 are formed on the left and right sides of thebriefs 101 to allow a user to wear thebriefs 101. - In view of health and sexual function, the male penis and scrotum must be kept cool. However, the men's
briefs 101 adhere closely to the body, leading to adverse results in the men's health. Also, since the men'sbriefs 101 constrict the body with little ventilation, the regulation of the penile or scrotum temperature may be obstructed. Accordingly, the parasympathetic nerve of the autonomic nervous system associated with fertility may suffer from pressure or stress, which results in a lowering of the fertility and proper circulation of air is restricted, thereby causing unpleasant feeling due to eczema or an offensive smell. - To overcome the shortcomings, an alternative kind of the underwear, that is,
trunks 104 are widely used by men. Thetrunks 104, as shown inFIG. 2 , are shaped of loose shorts, having a predeterminedaccommodating portion 102 for accommodating the male penis and scrotum in the front, interior portion of thetrunks 104. Apocket 102a through which the male penis can be released when necessary, may be formed on the front portion of theaccommodating portion 102. Box-type crotch portions 105 are formed on the left and right sides of theaccommodating portion 102, andopenings 103 are formed in the lower portions of therespective crotch portions 105, theopenings 103 through which the user puts on thetrunks 104. - Although the shortcomings of the
briefs 101 are somewhat solved by thetrunks 104 which can prevent close adherence to the male body, the ventilation of thetrunks 104 is still open to improvement. Also, thecrotch portions 105 of thetrunks 104 may closely adhere to the body due to excretion of sweat, giving the user an unpleasant feeling. Further, thecrotch portions 105 may be upwardly rolled, causing a feeling of uncomfortable fit.AU 589044 B claim 1. - It is an object of the present invention to provide men's underwear briefs designed to enhance user's comfort and health advantages by improving the ventilation system thereof to provide effective ventilation and a feeling of comfortable fit.
- To accomplish the above object of the present invention, there are provided men's underwear briefs including inclined openings formed by cutting the left and right sides of a triangular underpants body inwardly with an inclination, a supporting cover connected to the lower ends of the inclined openings for accommodating the male penis and scrotum, and folded covers folded along interior fold lines to be symmetrical with respect to the supporting cover.
- In other words, the men's underwear briefs having the aforementioned construction are invented by taking advantages of conventional briefs and trunks, and are configured to secure a sufficient space for ventilation while having a triangular shape by the inclined openings, to improve a feeling of comfortable fit by the supporting cover and folded covers and to minimize an unpleasant feeling due to the contact of the briefs with the rest parts of the body.
- Therefore, the ventilation of the underwear is improved by taking advantages of the briefs and trunks, thereby enhancing user's health and sexual function. Also, an unpleasant feeling due to excretion of sweat can be eliminated, thereby maintaining advantageous sanitary conditions of the underwear and enhancing a feeling of comfortable fit.
- The above object and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent by describing in detail a preferred embodiment thereof with reference to the attached drawings in which:
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of general men's briefs; -
FIG. 2 is a perspective view of conventional men's trunks; -
FIG. 3 is a perspective view of men's underwear briefs according to the present invention; -
FIG. 4 illustrates a folding structure of the men's underwear briefs according to the present invention; and -
FIG. 5 is a perspective view illustrating the lower portion of the men's underwear briefs according to the present invention. - The present invention will now be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
-
FIG. 3 is a perspective view of men's underwear briefs according to the present invention,FIG. 4 illustrates a folding structure of the men's underwear briefs according to the present invention, andFIG. 5 is a perspective view illustrating the lower portion of the men's underwear briefs according to the present invention. - Referring to the drawings, the structure of the present invention will now be described. Inclined
openings 2 are formed by cutting the left and right sides of atriangular underpants body 1 inwardly with an inclination. A supportingcover 3 is connected to the lower ends of theinclined openings 2 to accommodate the male penis and scrotum. Foldedcovers 4 are folded alonginterior fold lines 5 to be symmetrical with respect to the supportingcover 3. - Here, the features of the men's underwear briefs having the aforementioned structure lie in that the ventilation of the left and right sides of
underpants 6 is improved while having a triangular shape due to theinclined openings 2, the male penis and scrotum can be effectively supported by the supportingcover 3 and the foldedcovers 4 and that fresh air can circulate freely through a space formed by the supportingcover 3 and the foldedcovers 4. - In other words, the men's underwear briefs having the aforementioned construction are invented by taking advantages of conventional briefs and trunks, and are configured to secure a sufficient space for ventilation while having a triangular shape by the
inclined openings 2, to improve a feeling of comfortable fit by the supportingcover 3 and the foldedcovers 4 and to minimize an unpleasant feeling due to the contact of theunderpants 6 with the rest parts of the body. - In other words, if a user wears the
underpants 6, the exterior sides of the user's legs can be maximally exposed by theinclined openings 2, providing effective ventilation. Also, the foldedcovers 4 are unfolded around thefold lines 5 so that air can be smoothly induced into the inner space thereof. Further, the supportingcover 3 comfortably supports the male penis and scrotum from the lower part, thereby enhancing a feeling of comfortable fit. - The
underpants body 1 is preferably knitted by fabrics which are harmless to the human body. Also, since arubber band 7 provided along the upper portion of theunderpants body 1 is securely adhered to the user's waist, it is preferably formed of cotton fabrics made of natural rubber. - Also, the
underpants 6 are formed by cutting the left and right sides of the conventional trunks to have theinclined openings 2. Thus, a considerable amount of cloth can be reduced in production, compared to conventional trunks. - Further, the
underpants 6 can solve problems such as disturbed ventilation or eczema due to body constriction of theunderpants 6, which is a disadvantage encountered by conventional underwear briefs, and can eliminate an unpleasant feeling due to upward rolling of the crotch portion by sweat excreted during user's movement, which is a disadvantage encountered by conventional underwear trunks. - Therefore, if the
underpants 6 are worn by a user when the user plays golf or the like, they can give the user a pleasant feeling by effective ventilation and an agreeable feeling of comfortable fit. Further, the present invention provides functionally improved underwear briefs, thereby satisfying a variety of consumers' preferences. - As described above, according to the present invention, the ventilation of the underwear is improved by taking advantages of the briefs and trunks, thereby enhancing user's health and sexual function. Also, an unpleasant feeling due to excretion of sweat can be eliminated, thereby maintaining advantageous sanitary conditions of the underwear and enhancing a feeling of comfortable fit.
