Claims (1)

  1. A door closure for electrical household appliances, such as washing machines, dishwashers and laundry dryers, said closure comprising a gripping device (18) which revolves about a shaft (20) and comprises a gripping latch (40) into which a closing member (42) can be introduced, wherein the gripping latch (40) has a contact area (44) against which the entering closing member (42) presses and in doing so causes the gripping device (18) to revolve, wherein a closing spring (16) urges the gripping device (18) with its circumference (22, 24, 26, 32, 33, 36, 38) against a support point disposed at a frame (10) of the door closure, wherein the closing spring (16) is compressed in an open position of the door closure and expanded in a closed position of the door, wherein the circumference of the gripping device (18) forms a snap point (34) such that on introduction of the closing member (42) in the gripping latch (40) and resulting revolution of the gripping device (18) the closing spring (16) expands when the snap point (34) is exceeded,
    characterized in that the support point is provided on a circumferential line (30) of a roller-supported rotating shaft (28) or on a circumferential line of a roller bearing disposed on a non-rotating shaft.
