Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a bathtub or a shower tray from a Plastic with a in the bottom of it incorporated Reinforcement insert, such a reinforcing insert, the Use of this reinforcing insert for producing a reinforced floor area of a bath or shower tray and a Method of making a bathtub or shower tray.
In the following, only bathtubs will be referred to, this term bathtub also a shower tray or similar includes.
Bei diesem Acrylglas handelt es sich um PMMA (Polymethylmethacrylat).Bathtubs are today either made of enamelled sheet metal or made of a plastic material. The pointing to the user Side of the bathtub is often made of acrylic glass or sanitary glass produced. This acrylic glass is PMMA (Polymethyl methacrylate).
To make the user facing side of the bathtub a thin PMMA plastic plate by deep drawing into the actual Basic form brought. However, the structure thus obtained is unstable. to Reinforcement is then on the lower side and thus on the User side facing one or more layers of one Applied plastic material, for example by spraying or by hanging up etc., such as in GB-A-2 040 676.
It is now known in the heavily loaded ground area and thus in the area where the user comes to a standstill Incorporate reinforcing insert or einzulaminieren. These Reinforcement insert is suitably completely in the Embedded plastic material, so this reinforcement insert of is not visible on the outside. As a reinforcing insert is usually a wooden plate or a pressboard used.
These known reinforcing inserts have the disadvantage that the Connection to the plastic material is insufficient. This can on the one hand by existing moisture or on the other hand by Air pockets be conditional. In addition, the plastic material tends to flow away at the sides of the reinforcing insert, so that the Edge regions of this known reinforcing insert in the finished Shower tray can still be seen from the outside etc.
Object of the present invention is to provide an improved Provide reinforcing insert for bathtubs or shower trays, which can be easily incorporated into the soil and securely and firmly connected with it.
This problem is solved by the teaching of the claims.
In the bath according to the invention has the reinforcing insert a substantially flat base plate, the incorporated state pointing to the tub. On the floor-facing surface of the base plate There are walls which make up the surface of the base plate in several Divide compartments. Per compartment is at least one through hole in excluded from the base plate. When installing this Reinforcing insert in the bottom of a bathtub becomes this Reinforcement insert with its base plate to the unreinforced or not yet fully reinforced floor area of the bathtub created. Then that will be used to make the reinforced floor used plastic material in the compartments and of course in the Holes introduced in the base plate. The holes will be there suitably completely from this plastic material filled out, while the compartments as such at least partially and preferably also completely filled out.
This plastic material combines when reacting or when Curing or sticking to the bottom area of the bathtub and posing thus, by the plastic practically protrudes through the holes, a positive connection of the reinforcing insert with the ground, when the plastic has hardened or has reacted. By the Filling the compartments as such will ensure that the floor is over has sufficient thickness and mechanical requirements withstand. By the base plate is also achieved that the Heat of reaction of the plastic material reacting in the compartment is insulated to the ground, which prevents being from above seen in the bathtub in the floor area changes in color or other changes that occur due to a too large Heat development are caused.
Under a plastic material is in the context of the present here Substrate the reaction mixture to produce the reacted or cured plastic understood.
When incorporating the reinforcing insert this is otherwise expediently on a on the bottom of the bathtub outside applied first layer of a plastic material. By the existing holes can be the air or possibly existing Bubbles when pressing the reinforcing insert from below against the Escape soil. Possibly forming cavities below the Base plate can be filled with the Plastic material that in this condition is more or less is liquid, to be filled out. For this penetrates this plastic material through the holes and fills possibly cavities. For all these Incidentally, the bathtub is usually turned upside down, so that the applied and filled in the compartments plastic material solely by gravity through the holes and in possibly existing Cavities can penetrate below the base plate. Conveniently, the amount of plastic material is so measured that the reinforcing insert completely into the Plastic material is incorporated or completely covered by this becomes. The plastic material is expediently in layers, for example, by spraying or other known techniques applied and registered in the compartments.
In a preferred embodiment, all compartments are complete bounded by walls, with all walls preferably the same Have height. Further preferred is the entire surface of the Base plate divided into compartments with approximately the same size. The size the compartments and the size of the hole per compartment will be suitably chosen such that on the one hand a good Connection with the floor area of the bathtub is achieved and on the other hand, the best possible isolation of occurring Reaction heat is ensured. The corresponding dimensions The compartments and the hole can easily be obtained by a person skilled in the art depending on the plastic used in a suitable manner to get voted. If desired, two, three, four or There will be more than four holes per compartment. The shape of the compartments, which could also be described as a kind of honeycomb, is arbitrary. Preferably, the base of these compartments is square.
The reinforcing insert is preferably made of a plastic material manufactured and preferably in one piece, in particular injection-molded. It can be any plastic (eg polycarbonate) act, for example, a thermoplastic or a thermosetting plastic, being a thermoplastic is preferred. In particular, sanitary acrylic glass (PMMA = Polymethylmethacrylate).
