Abstract

A wine bottle corking machine uses multiple corking stations on a rotating plate, each corking station consisting of a conic centralizer (3), cork compression unit (5) and ramming rod (6). A subsidiary vacuum system (18) induces low pressure in the bottle neck at the point of cork entry and the pressure is measured by sensors (17) which supply the signals (Si) to a processor (19) for analysis.
