Abstract

A suction pump has easily separable container (8), valve block (6) and main drive unit (1) joined by clip fit connectors

Description

The present invention relates to a suction pump for medical purposes, in particular Sekretabsaugpumpe, with a collecting container for material to be sucked, a valve block for alternately connecting the pump chamber via corresponding valves with the collecting container for the purpose of building a vacuum in the latter or with a Ausblasleitung, depending on the direction of movement Diaphragm pump plunger, and a drive unit of the diaphragm pump plunger.

The suction pumps of this type known today have the disadvantage that with the exception of the removable collecting container, the cleaning of the other pump parts is complicated and difficult, since in particular great care must be taken to avoid the ingress of liquid (washing liquid, secretions) in the drive unit.

Such a pump is known from US-A-5419687. There is a pump disclosed with a housing in which drive unit and valve assemblies are present. A collecting container can be releasably coupled thereto.

Object of the present invention was to provide a suction pump, which is easy to assemble with the simplest possible structure and again for cleaning purposes without special knowledge can be disassembled (no hose connections). The operation should be extremely simple (a button on / off) and the collecting container after its emptying in the washing machine, eg dishwasher washing machine be. The other pump parts, ie valve block and drive unit, which are not exposed to contamination thanks to a special overflow construction of the collecting container should, if necessary without Impairment of their functionality, can be cleaned.

This object is achieved according to the invention in a suction pump of the type defined by the features of the characterizing part of claim 1.

Preferably, the various pump parts are on a common base plate by means of plug and / or snap connections releasably assembled, arranged.

The invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to an embodiment shown in the drawing.

Fig. 3), der Hauptschalter 4 (Ein/Aus) sowie ein Stromanschluss 5 gezeigt sind, ferner ein Ventilblock 6 mit Ueberlaufkammer (Fig. 3) und Vakuumeinstellknopf 7 (z.B. zwei Stellungen) und schliesslich ein wiederverwendbarer Auffangbehälter 8 mit aufgesetztem Deckel 9.Figure 1 of the drawing shows the three main parts of the suction pump, namely the main housing 1 with built-in motor, pump drive and optionally a battery (these mounting parts are shown in Fig. 3), which is infected to a bottom plate 2, wherein the main housing nor the membrane. 3 3), the main switch 4 (on / off) and a power connection 5 are shown, also a valve block 6 with overflow chamber (FIG. 3) and vacuum adjustment knob 7 (eg two positions) and finally a reusable collection container 8 with attached lid 9.

The main parts of the suction pump shown in Figure 1 can be easily plugged together (plug and snap connections) and of course just as easily disassemble again (for cleaning purposes). The valve block 6 comes to lie directly between the main housing 1 and the interchangeable collecting container 8, as Figure 2 shows. The main parts are preferably attached to the bottom plate 2.

The construction concept according to the invention is best seen from the longitudinal section according to FIG. 3:

In the main body 1, an electric motor 10 (e.g., a 12V DC motor) is flanged to a plate 11 and serves to drive the eccentric 12 (with additional unbalance 13). The eccentric 12 serves to drive the Pumpenpleuels 14, which is provided with a membrane 15 (for example, overmolded membrane) and in operation serves to generate a desired vacuum. Also in the main housing 1, which is plugged onto a bottom plate 2, a battery 16 is housed. A power supply from the outside via the connector 17 (12V DC to power the battery 16 or direct power to the motor 10). On the top of the housing 1, a push-button switch 18 (on / off) is finally arranged.

Also plugged onto the base plate 2 is located on the left side of the exchangeable, reusable container 8 to be sucked material (eg secretions) with container lid 9. The generated by the vacuum generated in the container 8 material occurs via an attachable to the nozzle 19 hose (not shown) in the container 8 a.

Between collecting container 8 and main housing 1, a valve block 6 is used as the third separate main part, wherein this is releasably coupled by suitable connections with the container 8 and the housing 1. Since the actual pump chamber 20 is located between the valve block 6 and the diaphragm pump plunger 14 accommodated in the main housing 1 with the diaphragm 15 arranged at its front end, this space is connected to a device for setting the desired vacuum (vacuum adjustment knob 21 with eg two different positions).

In a wall 22 of the valve block 6, self-acting valves 23 and 24 are arranged: When moving in the direction of R connecting rod 14 and diaphragm 15, negative pressure and air is drawn from the container 8 via the opening valve 23 (for the purpose of generating the vacuum in the collection container). In the impact movement of the connecting rod 14 and the membrane 15 in the direction L, the valve 23 closes and the air sucked into the pump chamber 20 is expelled via the opening valve 24, this in a closed space 26 by means of a lid 26, which via free channels between the coupled pump parts with the environment is connected (off).

The connection between the collecting container 8 and the valve block 6 via a high-lying nozzle 27, which forms an overflow for the container 8, if necessary. Thanks to the special design, any liquid entering the valve block 6 would not adversely affect the drive unit of the pump.

The individual pump parts 1, 6 and 8 can be assembled and disassembled in the simplest way, which in particular simplifies their cleaning and makes them problem-free (collecting container 8 and valve block can be cleaned in the dishwashing machine).
