  6. An apparatus in accordance with any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the vertical limb (6) is provided at both sides with an additional insulating material (11) which also covers the lower side of the horizontal limb (9).
  7. An apparatus in accordance with any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the second insulating material (12) at least substantially fills up the intermediate space between the wall (3) and the vertical limb (6).
  8. An apparatus in accordance with any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the free end of the fixing bracket (20) is provided with a rubber profile (13).
  9. An apparatus in accordance with claim 8, characterised in that the rubber profile (13) is surrounded by a further layer (15) of a soft insulating material.
  10. An apparatus in accordance with claim 9, characterised in that the layer (15) consists of a soft foam fleece assembly and in that this layer (15) extends on both sides of the fixing bracket (20) up to its approximately horizontally extending connection limb (19).
  11. An apparatus in accordance with any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the acoustic rail (4) is provided with a plurality of elongate holes for securing to a wall (3) of which some are arranged offset by 90° with respect to one another.
