Der Erfindung liegt die Idee zugrunde, ein Tastaturgehäuse einteilig auszuführen,
wobei das Gehäuse durch eine obere Gehäuseschale und eine, sich S-förmig der
oberen Gehäuseschale anschließende untere Gehäuseschale gebildet wird. Dazu
besteht das Gehäuse vorzugsweise aus Kunststoff. In der oberen Gehäuseschale
werden ein Tastenfeld und beispielsweise eine Tastatur-Elektronik gehalten, in der
unteren Gehäuseschale Zusatzbaugruppen. Das Tastenfeld ist vorzugsweise
punktförmig gelagert. Hierzu liegt das Tastenfeld auf Hülsen in der oberen
Gehäuseschale auf, in die vorzugsweise zwei Schrauben eingreifen, um das
Tastenfeld in der oberen Gehäuseschale zu positionieren und zu befestigen.
Die Tastatur-Elektronik ist beispielsweise unterhalb des Tastenfeldes ebenfalls
punktförmig gehalten, wobei Steckverbinder der Tastatur-Elektronik in die untere
Gehäuseschale hineinragen.
Über diese Steckverbinder können die elektrischen Zusatzbaugruppen, wie
beispielsweise eine Elektronik eines Magnetkartenlesers und/oder eines Chip-Kartenlesers,
ein Joystick, mit der Tastatur-Elektronik elektrisch verbunden
werden.
Zur Abdeckung der unteren Gehäuseschale weist dieser eine schraubbare
Abdeckung auf. Rückseitig der unteren Gehäuseschale, d.h. nach oben ausgeführt,
ist im Gehäuse eine schlitzförmige Führung des Magnetkartenlesers zum
Durchziehen einer Magnetkarte integriert.
Vorzugsweise zusätzlich oder alternativ kann auch eine schlitzartige Stecköffnung

von weiteren Modulen (Komponenten), gewährleistet. Durch diese Gestaltung ist
der Aufbau der Tastatur extrem kompakt, modular und servicefreundlich.
Ein weiterer Vorteil liegt in der punktförmigen vorzugsweise schrägen Lagerung des
Tastenfeldes und der Tasten-Elektronik. Eintretende Feuchtigkeit wird in der oberen
Gehäuseschale aufgefangen und kann durch in der oberen Gehäuseschale
eingebrachte Schlitze ablaufen, ohne auf dem Tastenfeld oder der Tastatur-Elektronik

In Figur 1 ist in einer perspektivischen Darstellung ein Tastaturgehäuse 1 einer Tastatur
20, beispielsweise einer Datenkasse für ein POS-Terminal, in einer Draufsicht aufgezeigt.
Das Tastaturgehäuse 1 wird dabei aus einem einteiligen Grundkörper gebildet, der eine
obere Gehäuseschale 2 einschließt und dem sich S-förmig eine, in dieser Darstellung
nicht erkennbare untere Gehäuseschale 3 anschließt. Die obere Gehäuseschale 2 weist
vorzugsweise drei Hülsen 4 auf, durch die ein hier nicht näher dargestelltes Tastenfeld 5,
punktförmig gelagert wird. Über nicht näher dargestellte Schrauben wird das Tastenfeld 5
auf den Hülsen 4 positioniert und in der oberen Gehäuseschale 2 befestigt. Für eine
stabile mechanische Lagerung des Tastenfeldes 5 schließen sich den Hülsen 4
vorzugsweise Schrägen 6 an, auf denen das Tastenfeld 5 schräg aufliegt.
Weitere Hülsen 7 nehmen eine unter dem Tastenfeld 5 angebrachte Tastatur-Elektronik 8
auf. Auch hier erfolgt eine mechanische Lagerung durch der Tastatur-Elektronik 8
angepaßte Schrägen 9.
Die untere Seite 2.1 der oberen Gehäuseschale 2 ist gegenüber einer imaginären
Auflagefläche des Tastaturgehäuses 1 plan ausgeführt.
Der oberen Gehäuseschale 2 schließt sich die Rückseite 3.1 der unteren Gehäuseschale
3 an. In dieser ist vorzugsweise mittig eine Erhöhung 3.2 eingebunden, die aus Sicht der
unteren Gehäuseschale 3 eine Vertiefung darstellt. Die Erhöhung 3.2 umfaßt eine
schlitzförmige Führung 10 eines Magnetkartenlesers 11 und/oder eine senkrechte
schlitzförmige Öffnung 12 eines Chip-Kartenlesers 13.
Funktionsanzeigen 14 der Tastatur 20 sind vorzugsweise neben der Erhöhung 3.2
