Claims (9)

  1. A fitting arrangement comprising an edge mechanism disposed on a window sash or door leaf and a fitting part fixed to the frame, wherein the edge mechanism (15) has a casing (19) which is fastened to a faceplate (20) and in which a pinion (18) is mounted for rotation and co-operates with a positioning bar (21) longitudinally guided under the faceplate (20), wherein a bar (51) preventing faulty operation is provided on the edge mechanism (15) and blocks motion of the positioning bar (21) when the sash (3) and frame (2) are anti-parallel but co-operates with the frame (2) when the sash (3) and frame (2) are parallel, wherein locking elements (9) movable between the sash (3) and frame (2) are provided and enable the sash to be locked (A) and also provide a turned-open position (B) and at least one ventilation-gap position (C) in which a retaining element (27) disposed on the frame (2) co-operates with an actuator (28) disposed on the sash (3) and'movable by the positioning bar (21), wherein the actuator (28) is guided along a surface (31) of the retaining element (27) and follows a lateral offset of the retaining element (27), as a result of which the sash (3) is automatically held apart from the frame (2), wherein a load-relieving element (35) is provided and operative between the sash (3) and frame (2) and comprises a rocking lever (36) which extends over or underneath a support part (37) during the operation of closing the sash (3) and braces the sash (3), at least when closed, via the load-relieving element (35) and wherein the rocking lever (36), the retaining element (27) and a stop (50) co-operating with the faulty-operation bar (31) are fastened on a common rail (26) of the fitting part on the frame (2).
  2. A fitting arrangement according to claim 1, characterised in that the rocking lever (36) engages a bend (43, 44) on the faceplate (20) and projecting in the direction of the rail (23) into the rebate space (45) between the frame (2) and sash (3).
  3. A fitting arrangement according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the faulty operation-preventing bar (51) and the stop (50) co-operating therewith are associated with the edge mechanism (15) at the level of the pinion (18).
  4. A fitting arrangement according to any of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the rocking lever (36) on the rail (26) is mounted for pivoting on an eccentric journal.
  5. A fitting arrangement according to any of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the stop (50) is an angular web extending at right angles to the rail (26).
  6. A fitting arrangement according to any of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the length of the rail (26) up to one longitudinal end is made such that a bolt (9) on the edge mechanism (15) co-operates with a bolt engagement means abutting the end of the rail.
  7. A fitting arrangement according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the side edges (46) of the guide surfaces (31) of the retaining element (27) are at an angle to the rail (26), so that the side edges (46) of the guide surfaces (31) are parallel with or at an acute angle to the bend (43, 44) in the faceplate (20) of the angle mechanism (15).
  8. A fitting arrangement according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the retaining element (27) is a punched bending part and fastened in an open recess at the edge of the rail (26).
  9. A fitting arrangement according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the rail (26) has a backward-projecting journal (52) which engages in a bore in the frame.
