Claims (8)

  1. Remote diagnostic and maintenance equipment for printing machines, which each have a control station (2), wherein the remote diagnostic and maintenance equipment comprises a remote diagnostic and maintenance station (10) with a remote maintenance computer (16) and a video/audio work position (7) connectible by way of an external connection with a service station (12), wherein the external connection can be an ISDN line (11), characterised in that
    - the external connection also includes a UMTS connection (11),
    - the remote diagnostic and maintenance station (10) comprises a changeover device (15) for connecting the service station (12) with the remote maintenance computer (16), a maintenance device (17) and/or a gateway (18),
    - the gateway (18) is connected by way of a printer network (6) with the control stations (2) of the printing machines (1) or peripherals, and
    - for individual or common remote diagnosis and maintenance of the printing machines or peripherals via the external connection at least one of the ISDN lines (11), which is connected with the service station (12), or the UMTS connection (11) is led to the printer network (6) with interposition of the remote diagnostic and maintenance station (10) functioning as a remote maintenance gateway.
  2. Remote diagnostic and maintenance equipment according to claim 1, characterised in that an audio/video work position (7) with a camera (8) and a speech and listening device (9) is integrated in the printer network (6).
  3. Remote diagnostic and maintenance equipment according to claim 1, characterised in that a video multimedia system (14) is associated with the remote diagnostic and maintenance station (10).
  4. Remote diagnostic and maintenance equipment according to claim 1, characterised in that the ISDN line (11) is constructed as at least one multi-channel line, which has an ISDN-S0 terminal, with a DSS-1 protocol channel handling.
  5. Remote diagnostic and maintenance equipment according to claim 1, characterised in that for transmission, with correct quality, of digital camera sequences the same are stored and compressed in the format *•AVI as a data file and the created data file is transmitted.
  6. Remote diagnostic and maintenance equipment according to claim 1, characterised in that the remote diagnostic and maintenance equipment is equipped with a common control panel for the functions of video-conference and remote maintenance.
  7. Remote diagnostic and maintenance equipment according to claim 1, characterised in that a converter for conversion of TCP/IP or Netbios into several current operating systems is installed in the control station (2).
  8. Remote diagnostic and maintenance equipment according to claim 4, characterised in that for increase in the data transmission rate the multi-channel line can be switched over from separate channels to channels connected in parallel.
