Gripper drum of a feeder with a gripper shaft for gripping printed products (29), whereby the gripper shaft (2) has a shaft body (26) controlled by a control path via a drive on which shaft body is arranged a plurality of grippers (3) and which is rotatable about its longitudinal axis for gripping the printed products (29), characterised in that, for removing the drive play between the control path and the grippers (3), assigned to the drive is a bracing device linked to the gripper drum (1) with a compensating spring producing a counter-moment during the rotation of the shaft body (26), so that, in their working position, the grippers (3) press a printed sheet (29) against a peripheral jacket surface (28) of the gripper drum (1).
  2. Drum according to Claim 1, characterised in that the compensating spring (9) has at least one rotation lever (11) which is connected in non-slip manner with the shaft body (26) of the gripper shaft (2) and which on every closing movement tensions at least one spring element (10).
  3. Drum according to one of the claims 1 and 2, characterised in that the compensating spring (9) has helical spring elements (10) connected in operative manner at one end, respectively, to the shaft body (26) of the gripper shaft (2) and at the other end to a shaft (7) of the gripper drum (1).
