Description

The invention relates to a device for closed-circuit current monitoring with an electrical contact mat with at least two in the quiescent current with spaced-apart plates according to the features of the preamble of claim 1.

Such contact mats find various applications as safety devices, as warning devices, possibly also as burglar alarms.

It is known ( EP-0 109 159 ) to produce the plates of an electrical contact mat made of metal. Such contact mats may be suitable for harsh use with large switching forces, but they are not advantageous when it comes to the fact that even smaller point loads should trigger contact. Furthermore, they are not adaptable to uneven surfaces, bends and the like.

It is also known ( EP-0 395 784 ) produce the plates of rubber, plastic or the like and provided with spacers. The spacers are designed as knobs, strips or strips and made in one piece with a plate. This results in plates that are expensive and therefore expensive to manufacture, especially since the plate with spacers must be designed so that the spacer is not conductive, the plate but conductive.

It is still known ( DE-195 10 617 A1 ), two mutually associated, at least partially provide electrically conductive surfaces of a contact mat, wherein between the surfaces of a distance-forming device is arranged and the surfaces after compressing the distance-giving device by a predetermined value produce an evaluable by an evaluation electrical connection. The electrically conductive surfaces comprise a braid, a woven or knitted fabric, which are conductive. The distance-giving device has loop-like threads which are attached either to both surfaces or to a surface. It is also an elastic intermediate layer between the conductive surfaces, wherein the contacting takes place after compression of the elastic intermediate layer and the evaluation device is supplied, wherein the evaluation device has an ohmic or capacitive termination.

It is also known to provide an electrical switching device to safety equipment to z. B. shut down a machine or to operate a warning device when a switch triggers a switching pulse. To detect wire breaks, short circuits or the like, a so-called closed-circuit monitoring is performed. In this case, a tactile sensor in addition to the switching device on an electrical termination, said electrical termination is in a closed circuit. Through this electrical circuit permanently flows a quiescent current, which, if no switching pulse is present, has a constant value. If suddenly a short circuit or an open circuit occurs, this is detected by changing the constant quiescent current. Likewise, the quiescent current changes when the switch shorts the electrical termination, so that by this known in size change in the quiescent current, a switching operation can be triggered.

The invention has for its object to overcome the disadvantages of the device for quiescent current monitoring with an electrical contact mat and to create a contact mat that is simple and inexpensive to manufacture and even with small forces sufficiently safe response.

The object of the invention is solved by the characterizing features of claim 1.

According to the invention, the spacers form a substantially inelastic intermediate layer which has openings of such a size that the inner surfaces of the plate contact one another under pressure, the plates being formed as thin, preferably flexible and elastic switching elements. The plates preferably have a thickness of 2.5 mm, wherein the intermediate layer, which is preferably formed as a mesh or perforated film made of plastic or cotton, has a thickness of 0.5 mm, wherein the openings in the intermediate layer in a mesh fabric mesh size of about 5 mm. The plates preferably have a Shore hardness of 50 to 65. According to the invention, it is also proposed that the plates have knobs or other elevations which are arranged at a distance from one another on their surface facing away from the intermediate layer. As a result, the contact ability is increased, especially when the load is applied more flat than punctiform.

If the intermediate layer, as further proposed, is adhesive on both sides, a contact mat can be produced by simple means which already forms a unit in itself. To improve the durability can also z. For example, an adhesive tape may be used as the enclosure.

According to the invention, the proposed contact mat is suitable for forming a bumper or other safety switching elements with a large follow-up distance, which then connect to the contact mat transmission elements which are attached to a support element, wherein also the side facing away from the transmission elements of the support element an elastic upper body, preferably made of foam is. The support member is articulated movable perpendicular to the contact mat and designed to be substantially rigid so that forces on the elastic upper body to trigger a contact of the contact mat. The transmission elements are formed on the contact mat facing the end so that they form a small transfer surface, which in Range of 10 mm 2 lies. If several transmission elements, eg. B. arranged in several rows, in particular oblique forces can lead to the elastic upper body for safe release of the contact mat. Due to the number and arrangement of the transmission elements, therefore, the switching trip can be varied.

In order to ensure a perpendicular to the contact mat articulation of the support member with elastic upper body to the contact mat, the contact mat and the support member may be housed in a frame, the frame enclosing these two elements and holds against each other with an edge.

The proposed contact mat is also preferably suitable for forming a safety edge, wherein then the contact mat is formed as a contact strip to which a support bar connects by means of transmission elements, which is articulated perpendicular to the contact strip movable. The structure is similar to that of the bumpers, although this is not primarily about a large caster, but about a special type of safety edge. The transmission elements may be formed integrally with the support strip, wherein the support strip should have a certain flexibility, so that a point load causes a contact release.

The proposed contact mat can also be bent like a bead and attached at its two ends to a machine, to a roller shutter or the like and be designed as a safety contact rail, wherein a pressure on the outer jacket of the bead-like contact mat triggers a switching pulse.

The plates forming the switch of a tactile sensor are connected to an electronic evaluation unit which has at least one threshold value switch and one switching stage. This makes it possible to realize a compact evaluation unit which, in addition to detecting an obstacle by means of the tactile sensor, also effects the evaluation by means of the threshold switch and the triggering of a switching operation by means of a switching stage.

For further explanation of the invention reference is made to the drawings, in which embodiments of the invention are shown in simplified form.

Schutz aufweist. In FIG. 1 is generally designated 2 a contact mat having at its periphery a cutting line. This means that the mat can be arbitrary in its dimensions and that it is at FIG. 1 is only a section on which the structure of the contact mat 2 can be seen. The contact mat 2 has plates 2a and 2b, which are made of rubber or polymers and are electrically conductive by the addition of conductive substances, such as carbon black, graphite, metal powder or the like. On the plates 2a and 2b electrical lines 15 and 16 are connected, leading to a tactile sensor, so that the mat is part of a device for closed-circuit monitoring. The plates 2a and 2b have a thickness of about 2.5 mm and are resilient. With 2c an intermediate layer is designated, which is substantially inelastic and made of non-conductive material, preferably a mesh. The netting has, like FIG. 1 can be seen, through openings, so that under pressure, for example, the plate 2b, the inner surface of this plate through the mesh plate 2a can touch and thus acts as an electrical switch for the device for quiescent current monitoring. The mesh size of the mesh fabric is preferably about 5 mm. The thickness of the fabric is about 0.5 mm. The netting can for example be made self-adhesive on both sides, so that after compression of the plates 2a and 2b, these are fastened to one another via the netting or the intermediate layer 2c are. The edges can be subsequently enclosed by means of an adhesive tape, so that the contact mat 2 is protected against the ingress of dirt and the like. The contact mat 2 can still be wrapped in a work mat, not shown, so that a mat is formed, which can be run over by wheels and has increased strength and protection.

In FIG. 2 is the contact mat 2 in turn composed of the plates 2a and 2b and the intermediate layer 2c on a solid surface 17, for example, supported on a machine part or on a vehicle. On the opposite sides of the substrate 17, an elastic upper body 18 is arranged, which is fastened to a support element 19, which in turn is in operative connection by means of transmission elements 20 and 21 with the contact mat 2. If the elastic upper body 18 encounters a resistance, a force is also exerted on the support element 19 which transmits this force to the plate 2b via the transmission elements 20 and / or 21, thereby contacting the plate 2b with the plate 2a and thereby the mat acts as a switch in conjunction with the quiescent current monitoring device and triggers a switching pulse that results in a warning signal or a shutdown of the vehicle or machines and the like. The elastic upper body is designed spatially so large and so elastic that the time between the switching pulse and the stoppage of the machine or the vehicle to a distance of the elastic compliance of the upper body 18 fits, so that the machine or the vehicle comes to a standstill, without causing any damage. The support member 19 must be opposite to the mat parallel to the plane of the FIG. 2 can move freely to transmit the forces and trigger a switching pulse. The support member may therefore be suspended, for example, pendulum or radially supported with the contact mat in a frame and in the plane of the drawing FIG. 2 be movable so that the support member and the contact mat can not move against each other, but can be compressed.

By the distribution of the transmission elements between the support member 19 and the contact mat as well as by their number and by the size of the contact mat facing the ends of the transmission elements, the switching triggering and the reaction time and force to trigger the switching pulse of the contact mat can be changed. Depending on the arrangement of the transmission elements and oblique forces can trigger a switching pulse on the elastic upper body.

Apparatus for quiescent current monitoring having an electrical contact mat (2) with at least two plates (2a, 2b) which are arranged at a distance from one another in the rest state and have electrically conductive surfaces, wherein the distance is produced by non-conductive spacers, wherein the inner surfaces of the plates (2a, 2b) touch one another when pressure is applied to the contact mat (2), thus forming the switch of a tactile sensor of the apparatus for quiescent current monitoring, and wherein the sensor has an electrical termination connected in parallel with the contact mat,
characterized in that the spacers are in the form of an essentially non-elastic intermediate layer (2c), and the openings are of such a size that the inner surfaces of the plates (2a, 2b) touch one another when pressure is applied to the contact mat (2),
in that the plates (2a, 2b) are in the form of thin, flexible and elastic switching elements, are composed of rubber or polymers and are made electrically conductive by the admixing of conductive substances, such as soot, graphite, metal powder and the like, and in that the intermediate layer is in the form of a non-conductive network mesh, preferably composed of plastic or cotton.
  2. Apparatus for quiescent current monitoring having an electrical contact mat according to Claim 1,
characterized in that the intermediate layer (2c) is adhesive on both sides.
  3. Apparatus for quiescent current monitoring having an electrical contact mat according to one of Claims 1 or 2,
characterized in that, on their surfaces facing away from the intermediate layer (2c), the plates (2a, 2b) have studs or other projections which are arranged at a distance from one another.
  4. Apparatus for quiescent current monitoring having an electrical contact mat according to one of the preceding claims,
characterized in that transmission elements (20, 21), which are attached at a supporting element (19), are connected to the contact mat (2) in order to form a bumper or some other safety switching element with a large deflection movement,
in that the supporting element (19) is fitted with an elastic upper body (18), preferably composed of foam material, on the side facing away from the transmission elements (20, 21), and
in that the supporting element (19) is articulated such that it can move at right angles to the contact mat.
  5. Apparatus for quiescent current monitoring having an electrical contact mat according to one of the preceding claims,
characterized in that the contact mat (2) is in the form of a contact strip, to which transmission elements which are attached to a supporting strip are connected, in order to form a safety switching strip or some other safety switching element, and
in that the supporting strip is articulated such that it can move at right angles to the contact strip.
