- System for unlocking or opening one or more doors of a vehicle, particularly an automobile, of the "hands free" type, comprising a presence detection device, and means of emitting a query signal that are awakened when the said device detects the presence of an individual, the said presence detection device comprising means of emitting an ultrasound or a radioelectric signal, means of detecting an echo signal, and means of processing the signal thus detected, characterised in that the said emission and detection means and the processing means are means of an obstacle detection system used to help with parking, and in that the said door unlocking or opening system (1) comprises a unit that, in the condition in which the system is used, is inside the vehicle and manages the said emission and detection means and processing means according to a particular mode that depends on whether the unit detects that the vehicle is currently being manoeuvred or is stopped.
- System according to claim 1, characterised in that it comprises means of activating the said device when the vehicle is stopped.
- System according to claim 1, characterised in that it comprises means of activating the presence detection device automatically when the obstacle detection system is no longer being used for parking.
- System according to one of the above claims, characterised in that it comprises means of processing the echo signal and deducing information from it about the distance from a user forming an obstacle.
- System according to claim 4, characterised in that it comprises means of comparing distance information deduced from the echo signal with a threshold distance and of triggering emission of the query signal when this distance information is less than the said threshold distance.
- System according to claim 5, characterised in that the distance is of the order of 30 cm.
