Abstract

Sichtscheiben für Raum- oder Etagenheizgeräte mit offener Flamme, seien sie als stationäres Sichtfenster oder als Tür ausgebildet, bestehen typischerweise aus transparenter Glaskeramik oder Glas, vorzugsweise Hartglas. Zur Erhöhung der mechanischen Stoßbelastbarkeit und der Erniedrigung der Kontakttemperatur der Sichtscheibe sieht die Erfindung vor, daß die Sichtscheibe (1) schalenartig geformt ist, vorzugsweise kuppelartig nach Art einer Kugelkalotte gewölbt ist. Sie wird dabei vorzugsweise mit Halteelementen (4) eines bajonettartigen Verschlusses mit dem Heizgerät verbunden.
