Abstract
Description
Daher haben sich besonders Klebebänder mit einem PVC-Folienträger durchgesetzt; zum einen wegen ihrer mechanischen Eigenschaften, zum anderen aber auch aufgrund minimierter Kompatibilitätsprobleme, da zumindest Träger und Haftgrund aus demselben Material bestehen.
Mit der DE 298 04 431 U1 wird ebenfalls die Verwendung eines Klebebandes mit einem Träger aus Vliesmaterial zum Bandagieren von Kabelbäumen offenbart, wobei das vorgeschlagene Spinnvlies aus Polyester besteht.
Zur Lösung der Aufgabe schlägt die Erfindung die Verwendung eines Klebebandes als Bandagierungsband für Kabel vor, wobei die Kabel eine PVC-freie Ummantelung aufweisen, umfassend einen PVC-freien Träger, auf dem zumindest einseitig eine druckempfindliche Klebemasse auf Acrylatbasis aufgetragen ist, wobei das Klebeband, wenn es bei einer Temperatur von mindestens 100 °C und für eine Dauer von zumindest 240 h auf den Kabeln verklebt ist, zu keiner Beschädigung der Ummantelung führt.
Unter Compounds werden verarbeitungsfertige Mischungen von Polymeren und den entsprechenden Additiven verstanden, die für die Herstellung der Endprodukte erforderlich sind. Blends sind Mischungen oder Gemische von Polymeren.
Solche Klebemasse sind z.B. erhältlich durch Aufkonzentrieren einer Lösung einer die vorstehend angeführten Eigenschaften besitzende Masse zu einem als Hotmelt verarbeitbaren System.
Das Aufkonzentrieren kann in entsprechend ausgerüsteten Kesseln oder Extrudem stattfinden, insbesondere beim damit einhergehenden Entgasen ist ein Entgasungs-Extruder bevorzugt.
Als Träger kann weiterhin ein Vlies vom Typ Kunitvlies oder Multiknitvlies verwendet werden. Ein Kunitvlies ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß es aus der Verarbeitung eines längsorientierten Faservlieses zu einem Flächengebilde hervorgeht, das auf einer Seite Maschen und auf der anderen Maschenstege oder Polfaser-Falten aufweist, aber weder Fäden noch vorgefertigte Flächengebilde besitzt. Auch ein derartiges Vlies wird beispielsweise auf Nähwirkmaschinen des Typs "Kunitvlies" der Firma Karl Mayer schon seit längerer Zeit hergestellt. Ein weiteres kennzeichnendes Merkmal dieses Vlieses besteht darin, daß es als Längsfaservlies in Längsrichtung hohe Zugkräfte aufnehmen kann. Ein Multiknitvlies ist gegenüber dem Kunitvlies dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Vlies durch das beidseitige Durchstechen mit Nadeln sowohl auf der Ober- als auch auf der Unterseite eine Verfestigung erfährt.
Schließlich sind auch Nähvliese als Vorprodukt geeignet, ein erfindungsgemäßes Klebeband zu bilden. Ein Nähvlies wird aus einem Vliesmaterial mit einer Vielzahl parallel zueinander verlaufender Nähte gebildet. Diese Nähte entstehen durch das Einnähen oder Nähwirken von durchgehenden textilen Fäden. Für diesen Typ Vlies sind Nähwirkmaschinen des Typs "Maliwatt" der Firma Karl Mayer, ehemals Malimo, bekannt.
Unter dem Begriff "Kabel" sind neben üblichen Kabeln ferner weitere wie beispielsweise Steckverbindungen, Schalter oder Rillrohre und dergleichen mehr zu verstehen, die im Bereich des Kabelbaums Verwendung finden.
Als PVC-freie Kabelummantelungen können solche aus thermoplastischen Elastomeren, Fluorpolymeren und Polyolefinen, aber auch aus allen anderen PVC-freien Kunststoffen eingesetzt werden. Als nicht ausschließliche, aber in hervorragender Weise einsetzbare Beispiele seien hier Polypropylene, PP-/PE-Copolymerisate oder PP-/PE-Compounds sowie vernetzte Polyethylene genannt.
Hierzu sind Klebkräfte insbesondere von mehr als 1 N/cm, insbesondere größer 2 N/cm notwendig, sowie Klebmasseaufträge, die bei glatten Folienträger mehr als 15 g/m2, bei textilen Trägem mehr als 25 g/m2, bevorzugt 50 bis 200 g/m2, je nach Beschaffenheit des textilen Trägers, betragen.
Erfindungsgemäß führt das Klebeband, wenn es bei einer Temperatur von mindestens 100 °C und für eine Dauer von zumindest 240 h auf den Kabeln verklebt ist, zu keiner Beschädigung der Ummantelung. Bevorzugt beträgt die Dauer 480 h, also 24 Tage, innerhalb derer keine Schädigung auftritt.
Wenn das Klebeband in Anwendungen bei höherer Temperatur verklebt wird, steigen auch die Anforderungen. In bevorzugter Weise übersteht der Verbund Klebeband/Kabel auch Temperaturen über 125 °C, besonders bevorzugt 150 °C.
Mit Klebkräften auf Stahl von > 2,5 N/cm sowie auf der eigenen Rückseite von > 3,5 N/cm erfüllen beide Muster sicher die Anforderungen für Kabelwickelbänder (die Messung der Klebkräfte erfolgt gem. internationaler Normen unter 180° mit einer Abzugsgeschwindigkeit von 300 mm/min).
Die Musterkabelsätze werden für 240 Stunden bei 100 °C gelagert beziehungsweise für 240 Stunden bei 150 °C.

Claims (12)
- Verwendung eines Klebebandes als Bandagierungsband für Kabel, wobei die Kabel eine PVC-freie Ummantelung aufweisen, umfassend einen PVC-freien Träger, auf dem zumindest einseitig eine druckempfindliche Klebemasse auf Acrylatbasis aufgetragen ist, wobei das Klebeband, wenn es bei einer Temperatur von mindestens 100 °C und für eine Dauer von zumindest 240 h auf den Kabeln verklebt ist, zu keiner Beschädigung der Ummantelung führt.
- Klebeband nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Klebemasse als Reinacrylat, Compound und/oder Blend aus der Lösung, als wässriges System oder als Hotmelt aus der Schmelze beschichtet wird.
- Verwendung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß eine druckempfindliche Klebemasse auf Acrylathotmelt-Basis eingesetzt wird.
- Verwendung nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß eine druckempfindliche Klebemasse eingesetzt wird, die einen K-Wert von mindestens 20, insbesondere größer 30, besitzt, gemessen in 1 Gew.-%iger Lösung in Toluol bei 25 °C.
- Verwendung nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Klebemasse erhältlich ist durch Aufkonzentrieren einer Lösung einer solchen Masse zu einem als Hotmelt verarbeitbaren System.
- Verwendung nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüchen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Lösung der Masse 5 ― 80 Gew.%, insbesondere 30 ― 70 Gew.-% Lösungsmittel enthält.
- Verwendung nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß handelsübliche Lösungsmittel eingesetzt werden, insbesondere niedrig siedende Kohlenwasserstoffe, Ketone, Alkohole und/oder Ester.
- Verwendung nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß Einschnecken-, Zweischnecken- oder Mehrschneckenextruder mit einer oder insbesondere zwei oder mehreren Entgasungseinheiten eingesetzt werden.
- Verwendung nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Klebemasse durch chemische oder thermische Behandlung, insbesondere durch strahlenchemische Behandlung, vernetzbar ist.
- Verwendung nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Klebemasse strahlenchemisch und/oder chemisch und/oder chemisch aktivierbare Substanzen beigemischt sind und/oder in diese einpolymerisiert sind, insbesondere Photoinitiatoren, insbesondere Benzoinderivate.
- Verwendung nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als Selbstklebemassen Copolymerisate aus (Meth)acrylsäure und deren Estern mit 1 - 25 C-Atomen, Malein-, Fumar- und/oder Itaconsäure und/oder deren Estem, substituierten
(Meth)acrylamiden, Maleinsäureanhydrid und anderen Vinylverbindungen, wie Vinylestem,insbesondere Vinylacetat, Vinylalkoholen und/oder Vinylethern eingesetzt werden. - Verwendung nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als Träger Gewebe, Gewirke, Vliese, Folien, Papier, Filze, Schaumstoffe und Coextrudate eingesetzt sind.
