Abstract

The spring unit for adjusting the support of a user's weight on an office chair comprises a main spring (12) and several auxiliary springs (17 - 19). All the springs are mounted on a connecting bar (13) at their bases and a slide (16) at the top allows the auxiliary springs to be individually or collectively linked with the main spring. An Independent claim is included for a chair incorporating the spring unit.
