Claims (17)

  1. Index tab for suspended files, comprising
    - a foot part (1) which can be put onto a suspended file;
    - a first holding part (2) which is connected to the foot part (1) and projects upwards from it in the use position of the suspended file;
    - a second holding part (3) which is articulated on the upper side of the first holding part (2) via a film hinge (9) and can be folded onto the first holding part (2) and with the latter forms in the folded-close state a holder with a receiving space for an index tab label;
    - a cutout which is arranged in the second holding part (3) and extends in the longitudinal direction of the second holding part (3);
    - catching means on the first and the second holding parts (2, 3) for locking the second holding part (3) on the first holding part (2),

    characterized in that
    - the catching means arranged on the second holding part (3) are provided along its lower edge, which faces the foot part (1) in the folded-close state,
    - the cutout in the second holding part (3) being arranged in such a way that the lower edge, provided with the catching means, of the second holding part (3) can essentially move away from the foot part (1) in the direction of the cutout at least in sections during the catching operation.
  2. Index tab according to Claim 1, characterized in that the catching means on the first holding part (2) comprise a catching projection (13) extending in the longitudinal direction of the index tab at least over a large part of the longitudinal extent of the first holding part (2) and away roughly at right angles from the latter, with a catching face (14) extending a little way from the catching projection in the direction of the film hinge (9) and with a catching groove (15) formed between the catching face (14) and the surface facing it of the first holding part (2).
  3. Index tab according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the catching means arranged on the second holding part (3) is formed as a catching strip (12) which extends at least over a large part of the edge facing away from the film hinge (9) and can catch behind the catching projection (13) into the catching groove (15) in particular during the catching operation.
  4. Index tab according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the index tab is an injection-moulded part made of essentially transparent plastic.
  5. Index tab according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the first and second holding parts (2, 3) have an essentially oblong rectangular shape.
  6. Index tab according to Claim 5, characterized in that the cutout arranged in the second holding part (3) is in the form of an essentially rectangular slot (11) which advantageously extends over a large part of the area of the second holding part (3).
  7. Index tab according to one of Claims 2 to 6, characterized in that the side of the first holding part (2) facing away from the catching projection (13) is of convex design in such a way that it is slightly curved between foot part (1) and film hinge (9) and is not curved in the longitudinal direction of the first holding part (2).
  8. Index tab according to Claim 7, characterized in that the second holding part (3) is, corresponding to the first holding part (2), curved in such a way that the two, spaced in relation to one another in the folded-close state, lie next to one another with the same spacing essentially over their entire extent.
  9. Index tab according to one of Claims 2 to 8, characterized in that a bearing strip (16) extending essentially over the entire length of the holding part (2) is formed on the first holding part (2) adjacent to the film hinge (9) on the side on which the catching projection (13) is also arranged, an index tab label being introducible between catching projection (13) and bearing strip (16) in the opened state of the index tab.
  10. Index tab according to one of Claims 2 to 9, characterized in that the catching face (14) has essentially a quadrant-shaped cross section, so that the catching strip (12) is moved over the radius of this quadrant during locking.
  11. Index tab according to one of Claims 1 to 10, characterized in that the first holding part (2) forms the front side and the second holding part (3) the rear side of the holder of the index tab labels, so that the rear side formed by the second holding part (3) can be folded onto the front side from the rear.
  12. Index tab according to one of Claims 1 to 11, characterized in that the foot part (1) comprises two outer clamping legs (4, 4') extending downwards from it in the use state and one central clamping leg (5, 5') extending downwards from the foot part (1) in the use state, which are arranged in different planes in such a way that the upper edge of a suspended file can be clamped between the outer clamping legs (4, 4') and the central clamping leg (5, 5').
  13. Index tab according to Claim 12, characterized in that catching lugs (6), which can engage in corresponding openings in the edge of the suspended file, are arranged on that side of the outer clamping legs (4) facing the upper edge of the suspended file in the use state.
  14. Index tab according to Claim 12 or 13, characterized in that the central clamping leg (5) comprises roughly centrally a web-shaped protuberance (7) extending over its entire width in the longitudinal direction of the index tab, on the opposite side of which a corresponding groove-like depression (8) is arranged, it being possible for the web-shaped protuberance (7) or the groove-like depression (8) to be retained between raised portions of a suspended file arranged equidistantly on the upper edge.
  15. Index tab according to Claim 12, characterized in that catching lugs (6'), which can engage in corresponding openings in the edge of the suspended file, are arranged on that side of the central clamping leg (5') facing the upper edge of the suspended file in the use state.
  16. Index tab according to Claim 12 or 15, characterized in that the outer clamping legs (4') each comprise roughly centrally a web-shaped protuberance (7') extending over their entire width in the longitudinal direction of the index tab, on the opposite side of which a corresponding groove-like depression (8') is in each case arranged, it being possible for the web-shaped protuberances (7') or the groove-like depressions (8') to be retained between raised portions of a suspended file arranged equidistantly on the upper edge.
  17. Index tab according to one of Claims 1 to 16, characterized in that the lateral edges of the first and second holding parts (2, 3) are designed in such a way that index tab labels can in the folded-together state of the index tab be inserted from the side into the receiving space formed between the holding parts (2, 3) through a slit (10) formed between the two holding parts (2, 3).
