Claims (10)

  1. A shading device with two spaced-apart guide rails (6), along which at least one shading element (7) is able to travel, and with a drop prevention means (8) comprising a locking member (13) which, in the event of failure of a lifting member (3), is pivoted from a rest position into a locking position and clamps the shading element (7) in at least one guide rail (6) in this locking position, wherein an actuating element (18) is held by means of the lifting member (3) and by the weight of the shading element (7) in a rest position against an actuating force and, in the event of failure of the lifting member (3), the actuating element (18) and the locking member (13) are moved into the locking position by the actuating force, characterized in that the locking member (13) and the actuating element (18) are mounted on a locking block (12) of the shading element (7), and the actuating element (18) bears on a driver (4) of the lifting member (3) and is thus in a tensioned position.
  2. Device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the lifting member (3) is provided at a lower end with the said driver (4), and the actuating element (18) is held in the said tensioned rest position against the reactive force of a spring element (17) owing to the tensioning of the lifting member (3) by means of the driver (4).
  3. Device according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the actuating force of the spring element (17) counteracts the weight of the shading element (7) so as to avoid injury to persons.
  4. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the actuating element (18) is mounted in a downwardly open recess (16) of the locking block (12), and the driver (4) bears against this recess (16).
  5. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the actuating element (18) is a bolt which, in the event of failure of the lifting member (3), is moved vertically downwards and in so doing acts on the locking member (13) and pivots it about a horizontal pivot axis (14) into the locking position.
  6. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the actuating element (18) is engaged at an upper end with the locking member (13).
  7. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the locking member (13) is a two-armed lever which is provided at one end with a plurality of teeth (15) which can be pivoted against a vertically extending rib (9) of a guide rail (6).
  8. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the locking member (13) is arranged in a guide channel (11) of one of the two guide rails (6).
  9. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the locking member (13) can be pivoted in a plane which extends substantially vertically to a winding shaft (2).
  10. Device according to Claim 9, characterized in that the lifting member (3) comprises a tape which can be wound at an upper end by means of the winding shaft (2).
