mit einem Mikroprozessor 13 verbunden ist. Dieser dient zur
Steuerung des gesamten Rundfunkempfängers und ist unter
anderem dafür ausgelegt, aus dem bei 3 decodierten
RDS-Signal einzelne Informationen, beispielsweise
Programmidentifikations-Codes (PI-Codes) und digitale

Straßenkarte, von der in Fig. 2 ein Ausschnitt dargestellt
ist, befindet sich im Massespeicher 18 eine Liste derjenigen
Sender, welche digital codierte Verkehrsmeldungen
(TMC-Meldungen) ausstrahlen. Die Liste ist nach PI-Codes
geordnet und enthält zu jeweils einem PI-Code ein
Empfangsgebiet, ein Meldungsgebiet, Frequenzen, auf welchen
Programme mit dem jeweiligen PI-Code gesendet werden, und
die vom Sender durchgeführte sonstige Meldungsselektion -
beispielsweise nur lokale, regionale und nationale
Meldungen.The
Die in Fig. 3a) ausschnittsweise dargestellte Liste zeigt Einträge der fünf Sender Sa bis Se mit den PI-Codes PI1 bis PI5. Die Empfangsbereiche der Sender Sa bis Se sind in Fig. 2 gleichlautend mit den Sendern dargestellt. Bei dem Ausführungsbeispiel ist die Datei dadurch besonders einfach aufgebaut, daß Gebiete der digitalen Karte (Fig. 2) in Bereiche - im folgenden auch PI-Bereiche genannt - unterteilt sind und daß für jeden dieser Bereiche die zuständigen Sender in der Liste gekennzeichnet sind. So geht aus der Liste nach Fig. 3a) beispielsweise hervor, daß der Sender Sa für den Bereich C2 Verkehrsmeldungen und der Sender Sb Verkehrsmeldungen für die Bereiche C1, C2 und B2 ausstrahlt. Dadurch entfällt eine Zuordnung der Meldungsbereiche der einzelnen Sender zu den geographischen Koordinaten. Routensuche ergeben, daß zunächst von X eine innerörtliche
Straße 21 bis zu einer Autobahnanschlußstelle 22, dann eine
Fahrt auf der Autobahn 23 bis zur Anschlußstelle 24 und
schließlich wieder eine innerörtliche Straße 25 benutzt
wird. Eine andere Straße 26, die ebenfalls von X nach Y
führt, wird dem Fahrer nicht vorgeschlagen, da diese
kurvenreiche Strecke länger ist und auch mehr Zeit
beansprucht. Als Kreise bzw. Ellipsen sind die
Empfangsbereiche der Sender Sa bis Se angedeutet. Fällt der
größte Teil eines PI-Bereichs in den Empfangsbereich, ist
dieser in der Tabelle nach Fig. 3a) bei dem jeweiligen

PI-Bereich gekommen, wird nach der Verzweigung 42 bei 36
erneut erfaßt, durch welche PI-Bereiche die weitere Fahrt
geht, worauf bei 37 eine neue Bestimmung der zugehörigen
PI-Codes erfolgt. Solange der Empfänger bei 42 noch keinen
neuen Bereich erreicht und auch das Ziel noch nicht erreicht
ist, erfolgt bei 41 die Aktualisierung der Position und der
Route, ohne daß es einer Neubestimmung der PI-Codes bedarf.However, if PI codes were found, follow the

- Method according to Claim 8, characterized in that during sorting the respective class of the roads to be travelled on is related to the other message selection of the transmitter which designates the size of the area for which the respective transmitter transmits traffic messages, and in that, when there are different road classes within an area, that road class which predominates within the area is used for the sorting.
- Arrangement for carrying out the method according to one of Claims 1 to 9, having means for calculating a route, having means for receiving traffic information services and having means for selecting service information from a stored list, the selected service information characterizing services which characterize services with traffic information which is relevant to the route, and having a data carrier which contains the list and a digital road map.
