Description

The technology area
The present invention provides a drainage part of a bridge gully, which is adjustable in the direction of a pipeline.
The state of technology
Actually known principles of outflow of rain water out of surfaces of bridges and bridge isolation are resolved by fixed outflow pipeline which is lead either upright down or is laid in a fixed angle considering the direction of the water outflow. Disadvantage of this solution is the fixed mounting without any possibility of change of direction.
Known solution is a bridge gully where its outlet aperture situated in the bottom of the pot of the bully leads straight upright down. This solution does not allow directing the outlet aperture to outlet pipeline below the bridge. This solution causes extremely big disadvantages in reconstruction of original drainage systems of bridges because connecting to original system is necessary.
Similar problem is solved in patent claim no. DE-A-24 01 899. In this claim however a problem of outflow part of roof gully is solved. The roof gully according to that claim is compound of inflow part, dirt trap and outflow part for connecting of following outflow pipeline. The roof gully can be used for different thickness of flat roofs. In difference to existing roof gullies this one allows connecting the outflow pipeline in any angle according to immediate needs. Special device between the outflow part and outflow pipeline allows this movement using rubber ring clinched between the outflow part and the outflow pipeline. The movement is realised by revolving the outflow pipeline in the outflow part using the rubber ring. The roof gully is also equipped with shutter, which prevents cold air from blowing in.
On the contrary the present invention is based on versatile articulation which can be turned in any angle needed. Also the articulation is a part of the body of the gully and the movement is realised not between outflow part of the bridge gully and the outflow pipeline but within the body, the pipeline is tightly connected to outflow part of the articulation (and also gully).
The Nature of the invention
The disadvantages mentioned above are removed by drainage outlet part of bridge gully which is adjustable in the direction of pipeline and which is situated in the bottom of plate of bridge gully and further in the plate a pot with drainage apertures is situated. It contains a grating; its frame is seated on a rectification.
The fundamental of the product is in the fact that it is assembled from articulation, which is created by segment, filler, middle part and revolving part. In the bottom of the plate there is an aperture. On the perimeter of the aperture there is a flange and further below skewed part. In it a filler segment is situated and below it there is filler. Bottom part of the filler connects to middle part in a shape of hemisphere with bottom edge skewed in a bent that is parallel with the bent of the side of the filler and at the same time skewed accordingly to the top edge of the revolving part, which is also hemisphere shaped and from which in a bottom side a flat end of the pipeline exhausts.
In the flange part of the aperture a circular reduction with central aperture is fast mounted. The central aperture is equipped with selecting in its perimeter for mounting to the top part of the segment, which is shape equivalent to the selecting. There is a circle jointing between the middle part and the revolving part.
Installation of the outlet pipeline below the bridge in any angle in range of 360 degrees is the advantage of proposed solution.
Solution according to the invention makes installation of the outlet pipeline easy especially in reconstruction of old bridges. The installation is easy and is practised from the surface of bridge construction.
List of pictures on drawings
Picture 1 - sidewards look at a body of outlet part with indicated possible positions for connection with the pipeline.
Picture 2 - plate of the bridge gully with aperture, in section.
Picture 3 - detailed view of the bottom of plate with aperture, segment and reduction, in section.
Picture 4 - front view of the reduction with central aperture.
Picture 5 - top view of the device with possible positions of the articulation indicated.
The example of the invention
Plate 1 of the bridge gully was made of cast iron. In its bottom there is aperture 11 with flange 13 around its perimeter and with part 14 of the aperture 11 skewed in inner direction. Plastic articulation 3 is mounted using segment 4 in this aperture 11.
The articulation 3 is compound of filter 7, middle part 5 and revolving part 6. Filler 7 is connected to the middle part 5 in a shape of hemisphere, which has the bottom edge skewed. The skew angle is identical to the top edge of the revolving part 6 of the articulation 3. It has also shape of hemisphere but it is inverse situated. At the bottom side a flat end of the pipeline exhausts from the hemisphere of the revolving part 6. Between the middle part 5 of the articulation and the revolving part 6 a jointing circle 12 is situated.
In flange 13 there is a circle reduction 2 in which central aperture 10 is. The central aperture 10 is equipped with selecting 9 in its perimeter. The top part of the segment 4 is shaped same as the central aperture 10. Rotating the reduction 2 against the central aperture 10 with 90 degrees mounts the segment 4 top part in the plate 1 because the reduction 2 is fixed in the plate 1 with screws that are situated in holders 8 around the perimeter of the reduction 2. Toughening of the whole outlet part of the device is solved this way.
The function of this device consists in the revolving connection of mostly cast iron plate 1 of the bridge gully with plastic articulation 3. The articulation 3 can be set in the direction of the original drainage pipeline of the bridge.
Reduction 2 allows connecting of different materials, most often metal and plastics, and also fast connection of parts of the device at the same time.
Industrial usability
Device according to the invention is usable in construction of bridge sewerage, in solution of the rain water outflow off the bridge surface.
