Abstract

La présente invention concerne des lentille intraoculaires à distance focale variable (56) constituant des lentilles composées de deux lentilles ou plus (58, 60) fixées ensemble, et comportant entre elles un ou plusieurs espaces ou compartiments centraux (64). Lorsque la lentille est implantée dans l'oeil, le ou les espaces centraux contiennent de l'air stérile, du gaz, et/ou présentent une pression inférieure (dépression). Si la puissance de la lentille intraoculaire à distance focale variable doit être modifiée, on ouvre (67) un ou plusieurs espaces centraux de sorte que l'humeur aqueuse pénètre le compartiment cible de la lentille, et modifie la puissance de la lentille intraoculaire. Le compartiment peut être ouvert soit avec un laser, soit chirurgicalement, par exemple à travers une surface mince remaniée de la paroi du compartiment central, en retirant une fiche, en ouvrant une valve, ou par d'autres moyens similaires.
