Abstract
Erfindungsgemäß wird ein Elektrostarter für einen Verbrennungsmotor vorgeschlagen, bei dem eine Steuerschaltung die Temperatur des Elektrostarters oder der Kohlenbürsten überwacht und gegebenenfalls den Hauptstrom begrenzt oder abschaltet. Die Temperatur wird indirekt über die Spannungswelligkeit im Hauptstromkreis zwischen der Batterie und dem Elektrostarter mittels eines Vergleichs bestimmt. Auftretende Fehler können als Meldung in einem Fehlerspeicher abgespeichert werden und gegebenenfalls beim nächsten Serviceintervall abgefragt und korrigiert werden. According to the invention, an electric starter for an internal combustion engine is proposed, in which a control circuit monitors the temperature of the electric starter or the carbon brushes and optionally limits or switches off the main current. The temperature is determined indirectly via the voltage ripple in the main circuit between the battery and the electric starter by means of a comparison. Any errors that occur can be saved as a message in an error memory and, if necessary, queried and corrected at the next service interval.
