Description
The present invention relates to a copper musical instrument with general chord slide and intonation corrector, and more particularly to a copper musical instrument whose main tube comprises a general chord slide and a corrector intonation.
Copper musical instruments, for example the horns with pistons or trumpets, generally have a general tuning slide which is mounted on the main tube, the general tuning slide making it possible to tune the instrument by increasing or reducing the the length of the main tube. In practice, the musician operates the chord slide to tune his instrument before a performance or concert, for example when the conductor or fanfare sets the tone for the tuning of all the instruments. However, it is known that with copper instruments, the intonation can change during use and after the tuning has been adjusted, depending on various parameters including the temperature difference.
The known forms of performance include a tuning slide for tuning before the use of the copper musical instrument, but they all have the disadvantage of not allowing, or very difficult, a modification of the intonation during the performance of a musical score.
The object of the present invention therefore consists in remedying the aforementioned drawback of the known embodiments.
Le but est atteint selon les principes de l'invention définis par la revendication 1.The object is achieved according to the principles of the invention defined by claim 1.
The copper musical instrument with general chord slide and intonation corrector comprises, according to the principle of the invention, a general chord slide which is mounted on a main tube and an intonation corrector which is also mounts as a slide on the main tube in addition to the tuning slide. The intonation corrector is constituted by a slide which is mounted in series with respect to the tuning slide on the main tube and which is connected to a lever which is subjected to the action of an elastic return member, the lever being arranged on the instrument so as to be very accessible for the musician.
The advantages of the principle of one invention are constituted by the fact that the musician thus has two possibilities of tuning his instrument. On the one hand, by the chord slide, which will allow him to tune his instrument before the start of the musical performance, which constitutes a basic chord, and on the other hand by the intonation corrector, which allows the musician to modify the intonation during execution. These advantages are important for an orchestra or fanfare musician who can thus modify the chord of his instrument while he is playing if he can see that his instrument is not or no longer correctly tuned compared to other instruments. The advantages can also be significant for a soloist who can easily modify the intonation during an improvisation for example, which can allow him to obtain special tones.
The accompanying drawings illustrate schematically and by way of example the principles of the invention.
