- the adhesive pump is attached to the bar 16', but there may also be another separate attachment where the essential point is that the adhesive nozzles are above the parquet panel which is pushed forward.
- the application of adhesive may be semi-automatic or fully automatic. This takes place in that a switch 8 is actuated, and a pusher means 25 pushes the parquet panel under the nozzles 5, the adhesive pump 18 being activated when the parquet panel touches an activating means 9 in the form of, e.g., a microswitch under the adhesive nozzles, so that adhesive exits the nozzles 5 whilst the pusher means 25 pushes the parquet panel against the end switch 8 which is then turned off until the parquet panel is removed for placement on the floor. The operation is then repeated either automatically or by means of manually reactuating the switch 8.
- the pusher means 25 may be operated electrically by an electric motor, or hydraulically, or by other suitable driving means.
- the adhesive pump may, e.g., be made of an air-driven piston 17 which presses the adhesive down, adhesive being sucked from the adhesive container 2 via the hose 3 on the return of the piston.
- the adhesive pump thus works on the same principle as a bicycle pump.

Description
Claims (2)
- A portable adhesive applicator apparatus for applying an adhesive to elements such as parquet panels and ceramic tiles having an upper side and a lower side, said apparatus comprising a supporting platform (12,15) for a stack of elements, wheels (10) for supporting said platform (12,15) on a floor in a horizontal position, an adhesive applicator (21) mounted on said supporting platform (12,15) for applying adhesive to said elements and a pusher means (25) on said supporting platform (12,15) for pushing a lowermost element in the stack on said supporting platform (12,15) and past the adhesive applicator (21) thereby applying adhesive to said lowermost element, characterised by said supporting platform (12,15) comprising a wheel supported beam element (12) having a horizontal upper surface (13) for supporting said stack of elements and at least two wheel supported horizontally bars (15) having a respective upper surface flush with said upper surface (13) of the beam element (12) and extending out from said beam element (12), thereby forming a support for a plurality of adjacent stacks of elements parallel with the stack of elements supported on the beam element (12), the adhesive applicator (21) being mounted in a position above said upper surface (13) of the beam element (12) and the pusher means (25) being arranged for pushing the said lowermost element along said beam element (12) on said upper beam surface (13) and under and past the adhesive applicator (21), thereby applying one or more strips of adhesive on said element lower side.
- A portable adhesive applicator apparatus as in claim 1, characterised in that the bars (15) are pivotally connected to the beam element (12) about a respective vertical axis.
