Description

Technisches GebietTechnical field

The invention relates to an arrangement for transmitting electrical Signals and / or energy between mutually movable Units using a sliding contact arrangement.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

For the transmission of electrical signals between mutually movable Units are preferred to use sliding contacts. These are also under the name grinding tracks in the case of a linear movement or slip rings in the case of a circular movement.

Such mechanical contact systems are characterized by simplicity and high robustness. For a wide range of applications depend on the environmental conditions of the contact speed and the electrical signals different contact pairings to disposal. Is used at high speeds or high speeds in the case of slip rings a long service life required, contact pairs are used almost exclusively, where at least one partner is a combination of silver and Contains graphite. Here, the silver mainly acts as an intermediary good contact and the graphite for lubrication.

As experiments have shown, such a silver-graphite brush can be used achieve excellent signal quality on a full silver track. Contact resistances and contact noise are special here long-term stable and low. This arrangement is disadvantageous the high cost. These are particularly effective with large slip rings or slideway arrangements, since here the slideways solid silver must be made. Will be on for cost reasons a cheaper contact material, such as brass or copper, this makes the transmission properties essential deteriorated. The contact resistances and the contact noise can be up to two orders of magnitude worse than in the silver arrangement his.

A known method to solve this problem is to use it of massive brass sheets, which with a contact surface Silver. The silvering can here by mechanical Application of a silver layer or electrochemical treatment respectively. The disadvantage of such an arrangement is the relative thin silver plating. This can be done in a short time with heavy use Be worn out, the remaining brass track has again very poor transmission properties.

The transmission properties of such sliding contacts will be usually characterized by a series of electrical parameters. When large currents are transmitted, the contact resistance is special important. This should be very low, preferably in the range of a few mΩ. Towards smaller signal levels, such as those and sensor signals occur, contact noise is also important. On such noise occurs during the movement of the contacts through mechanical Vibrations, changing the contact point as well through small arcs between the two contact electrodes can burn on. For a good signal quality is a low one Contact noise is particularly important.

From US-A-5 224 138 a solution is known which is used in the formation the preamble of the present patent application has been. According to this known solution, at least one of the Contacts a base material with high mechanical stability, in which is a second material that has good electrical properties regarding the transmission of electrical signals and / or energy has, but has only a low mechanical stability. The disadvantage of this known solution is that the other touching Contact on the entire trajectory of the movement only with the second, soft material is in contact. This is the abrasion of this Material very high, which means that the condition returns very quickly, that contact with the base material with the bad electrical Properties is made.

Darstellung der ErfindungPresentation of the invention

The object of the invention is an arrangement for transmitting electrical Signals and / or energy between mutually movable Units by means of galvanic contacts and in particular a grinding Specify contact arrangement, on the one hand, a long service life and reliability, even at high contact speeds and on the other hand offers excellent signal transmission quality.

An inventive solution to this problem is in claim 1 specified. Developments of the invention are the subject of the dependent Expectations.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the second Material is distributed in the base material such that another contact insists on the trajectory of the movement with the second material.

The invention thus combines the advantages of two different ones Contact materials such as Steel, brass or copper and silver. there serves the base material, which is abrasion-resistant and inexpensive, as Carrier of the arrangement and the second material, which is good electrical Possesses properties as contact material. Through this invention Design can be a particularly high transition quality achieve.

The one consisting of a basic material with an embedded second material Contact can be made with a sliding track, for example a slip ring or be a contact brush.

The second material can be dispersed in the surface of the base material his; alternatively or additionally, the base material can at least have a recess in which the second material is embedded. This recess can in particular be dovetail-shaped Be groove, because the form-fit makes a particularly good connection between the two materials.

Furthermore, it is advantageous if the recess at least in sections at an angle to the grinding direction and in particular wavy runs.

Alternatively, the second material can be in the form of several islands, i.e. externally separate contact areas, or in the form of a path in the base material must be embedded.

Alternatively, the second material can be in the form of several islands, i.e. externally separate contact areas, or in the form of a path in the base material must be embedded.

In any case, it is advantageous if the recess in your Course or in their shape perpendicular to the grinding direction varies in such a way that by touching the sliding contact connection traces of second material can be rubbed into the base material. By the Grinding the contacts becomes the smallest particles of the second material with the good electrical properties in the surface of the base material, i.e. rubbed into the solid contact track and remain stored in the surface as a highly conductive covering. In order to the conductivity and in particular the contact noise as well as the Contact resistance of the entire arrangement has been significantly improved.

In a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention second material selected so that it is softer than the base material This makes it particularly easy to get into the surface of this material be introduced.

It is further preferred if at least one contact element is included Game is stored perpendicular to a main grinding direction. Through the small additional movements of the brush across or at an angle Main movement axis, the second contact material can better Spread over the contact sheet from the base material. This can be due to particularly simple way with a suspension or storage high tolerances that allow a stroke or a bearing play happen. Of course, this can also be done through targeted control the movement, following a given trajectory Management of the contacts.

In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the web of the second material in one of the main trajectory of the assembly deviating shape This can be, for example spiral path.

Of course, this is what matters with the contact arrangement described above a brush, preferably a conductive material and a contains lubricating material and a contact track made of a preferably well conductive material, no difference whether these components are exchanged, i.e. a brush from an electrical good conductive material on a contact track, which is a combination of a conductive and a lubricating material, e.g. Silver and In this case, graphite would contain the arrangement according to the invention for the brush, which is now two different conductive materials contains apply.
