Abstract
Description
- This invention relates to an easy adjusting means for crib balustrade, particularly to an easy adjusting means disposed at front frame of a crib for'easy adjusting height of the baluster.
- A crib is a well-known safety place for protecting a baby against any accident when playing or sleeping, and it requires no more reiteration as regards importance of baby's security here.
- However, a decent and considerate design of the crib is still meaningful to the parents, for example, a baluster height adjustable crib is more convenient for lifting a baby from the crib. An average baluster height adjustable crib is usually provided with a recessed rail at both sides with plural insertion openings for the baluster to reside via a simple insertion mechanism for height choice.
- Nevertheless, the foregoing mechanism usually needs more components with relatively complicate design that results in a higher production cost and breakdown possibility.
- For eliminating abovesaid defects, this invention is proposed to provide two sets of easy adjusting means disposed correspondingly at front frame of a crib for more convenient adjustment of the baluster and for lower production cost.
-
- Fig. 1 is a schematic view showing exploded structure of this invention.
- Fig. 2 is a partial elevational perspective view of this invention.
- Fig. 2A is another partial elevational perspective view of this invention from a different visual angle.
- Fig. 3 is a schematic view showing pressing action of a limited stop piece of this invention.
- Fig. 3A is a cutaway sectional view along line IIIB-IIIB in Fig. 3.
- Fig. 4 is a schematic view adjusting action of a sliding block of this invention.
- Fig. 4A is a cutaway sectional view along line IVB-IVB in Fig. 4.
- Fig. 5 is a schematic view showing an embodiment of this invention.
-
- As shown in Fig. 1, 2, and 2A an exploded structural view, an elevational perspective view, and another elevational perspective view from a different visual angle, this invention is disposed at a proper position each on a
upright post 51, 51' in a crib frame 5 (refer to Fig. 5, 51' not shown). This invention comprises an upper and alower position regulators guide post 3 disposed between theposition regulators slidable block 4 coupled with abaluster 53 of thecrib frame 5, movable along theguide post 3. - The
upper position regulator 1 is located on top of theupright post 51, and asliding receptacle 12 is provided in a slide bearingface 11 of theupper position regulator 1, characterized in that aninsertion groove 13 is formed on a lateralinner wall 121 at front end of thesliding receptacle 12. - The
lower position regulator 2 is located at a proper position below theupper position regulator 1, and a slide bearingface 21 thereof is provided with asliding groove 22, characterized in that aninsertion groove 23 is formed on a lateralinner wall 221 at the front end of thesliding groove 22. - Besides, a projecting
joint portion guide post 3. - The
slidable block 4 having aprotrusive block 42 receptive in thesliding groove 22 andsliding receptacle 12 disposed on a slidingface 41 corresponding to theslide bearing face reception recess 43 is formed at proper position in thesliding block 4. Thereception recess 43 contains abrake mechanism 44 that comprises anelastic element 441 and alimited stop piece 442 resisting against the former being inserted in theinsertion groove - As shown in Fig. 3, 3A, 4, and 4A a schematic view of pressing action of the limited stop piece, cutaway section along line IIIB-IIIB, adjustment of the sliding block, and cutaway section along line IVB-IVB of this invention, when adjusting height of the
baluster 53 of thecrib frame 5, a user is to press down thelimited stop piece 442 firstly and release it from the insertion groove 23 (13) of the lower (upper) position regulator 2 (1), so that thesliding block 4 can be moved up or down along theguide post 3 to reenter the upper (lower) position regulator 1 (2), and thebaluster 53 of thecrib frame 5 is adjusted accordingly. When thelimited stop piece 442 is reentering another position regulator 1 (2), it is forced by theelastic element 441 to keep retained in the insertion groove 13 (23), and thereby to fix thebaluster 53 of thecrib frame 5 in place. - As shown in Fig. 5 a schematic view of an embodiment of this invention, one set of
support beams 6 is laid between a pair oftraverse beams 52, 52' (52' not shown) to permit a bed board 7 lying thereon at a height level about the same of an average bed to facilitate taking care of baby in nighttime. - In addition, plural
lower position regulators 2 may be arranged to said uprightpost 51, 51' at decent positions, such as equally divided intervals for example, to provide more adjustable positions of thebaluster 53. - Although, this invention has been described in terms of preferred embodiments, it is apparent that numerous variations and modifications may be made without departing from the true spirit and scope thereof, as set forth in the following claims.
