Definitions

  • the present specification relates to a tank containing a new arrangement of agitators, applicable to the movement of high specific weight precipitation products, the evident purpose of which is to obtain, starting from same, that in the products incorporated into a closed - tank, and, of course, into which water has been incorporated which contains suspended precipitation products having a high specific weight, the final precipitation of the product on the tank inner parts distant from the agitators will be avoided, so that, consequently, the - product will be processed in an adequate way.
  • This invention will find application in the industry dedicated to the manufacture of machines, apparatus and devices intended for the recovery of cement and concrete.
  • This invention contains, unlike the Patent of Invention considered as suitable, a vertical tank, while the tank embodied in the invention deemed as necessary, is horizontal, owing to the fact that inside it there are agitators located which need a minimum of adequate space in order to provoke the performance and output as expected from the agitators.
  • said Patent uses a wall or partition practically subdividing the tank into two portions, although keeping a communication at the lower part, since the wall or partition does not come into - contact with the bottom of the tank, but due to this - characteristic, if incorpored in the invention considered as suitable, the wall or partition would prevent the action provoked by the agitators facing each other.
  • the agitators described in the recovered Patent of Invention are configured as propellers each of them, the only and possible function of which is to generate a movement within the liquid which contains the cement by means of more or less slow circular flows to facilitate its move, while in the invention considered as suitable, the propellers cause turbulence effects due to the high rotation speed and the specific design of the used propellers.
  • the inventor is aware of the fact that the slurry returns to the left hand of the tank referenced with (27) in the recovered Patent of Invention, this tank - being divided by a wall or partition (69), as above - mentioned, and when the agitators do not operate, the most time, due to a larger amount of slurry at the intake, a hydrostatic pressure is created forcing the water to pass over the lower part of the wall or partition edge, to the upper part of the right side of the tank.
  • the liquid presents, at the right portion of the tank, a more markedly diluted formation, and - over the tank bottom, the main portion compressing the clarified water.
  • the drained fine sands form a filter-mat (70), and the most diluted portions pass through a thicker filter underneath the wall or partition (69), and they accumulate on the right-hand side of the partition.
  • level (71) passes to level (71')
  • page 12 states that, apparently, each agitator (65) and (65') propels the portions of the slurry in movement in the tank (27) in order to keep the cement in suspension and to protect the slurry to be used by the mixing plant (12).
  • each agitator (65) and (65') operation is very limited, and each agitation period is repeated at infrequent intervals lacking cadence not at all.
  • the tank containing a new arrangement of agitators, applicable to the movement of high specific weight precipitation products as proposed by the invention, is configured per se as a solution having a great value as regards its application, since it obviates, in a clear and specific way, the drawbacks existing at present in this matter.
  • the tank containing a new arrangement of agitators applicable to the movement of high specific weight precipitation products, which is the object of the present invention, is constituted - starting from the incorporation into a tank having an appropiate volume, of two conventional immersible agitators, which, once placed in a closed tank, and duly positioned and facing each other at each of the extremity of the tank, can avoid the final precipitation of the products on the tank zone distant from the agitators, so allowing for the agitation sought for the desired purpose.
  • Figure 1 shows a sectional side elevational view of a tank comprising the incorporation of two conventional immersible agitators, which configure the invention related to a tank containing a new arrangement of agitators applicable to the movement of high specific weight precipitation products.
  • the tank containing a new arrangement of agitators applicable to the movement of high specific weight precipitation products of the invention is constituted - starting from the incorporation into a tank (1) of two conventional immersible agitators (2) and (2'), facing each other at the extremities of the inner area of the tank, in order to generate two facing flows (3) and - (3') in a liquid mass (4) which contains an indeterminated amount of a high specific weight precipitation product, such as cement.
