  • Various kinds of tamper-evident seal are also known which are applied at the rims and are adapted only to clearly indicate to the consumer that the closure has been tampered with and therefore that the integrity of the container has been breached.
  • An aim of the present invention is to obviate the drawbacks noted above in conventional containers, by providing a container with safety closure which is capable of preventing, in any accidental situation, the separation of the lid from the tray, but which at the same time, in normal conditions, it is not more difficult to open and re-close.

Then a lever-like action is applied in an upward direction, at the portion of the flap 16 that is not provided with the seal, on the rim 13 of the lid 10, so that the lid separates from the tray 8 by opposite elastic deformation of the first and second engagement means 14 and 15.
  • the first engagement means 14 gradually disengages from the second means 15, since the step 30 disengages from the protrusions 20.
  • the container thus described achieves the intended aim and objects, since it gives consumers an additional sense of security as regards tamper-resistance, especially if it contains food.
  • the engagement of the first and second engagement means occurs during first closure and accordingly, as shown in the closure and opening steps, a single action is necessary, as in known containers.
  • the engagement is accompanied by an acoustic signal which can be likened to a click and allows to check, even without further visual inspection, that closure has properly occurred.
